It includes editing functions for: brightness, contrast, color, brightness distribution, white balance, tone mapping, red-eyes, sharpen, blur, noise, trim, resize, rotate, warp, art effects, HDR, HDF, stack, and panorama. Editing is done using movable curves and sliders. Feedback is live, using the whole image. Unlimited undo and redo are supported. RAW files can be imported and edited with 16-bit color. You can edit the whole image or a selected area with adjustable blending. Tags, dates, and ratings can be added to images. You can then search using these criteria as well as file names. Fotoxx can also help you make slide shows, burn a CD/DVD, and view and edit metadata (EXIF etc.). Renaming, resizing, add tag editing can be done in batches.
Changes: This version added functions for combining multiple noisy photos to make a low-noise image, making a B/W or color negative, or a positive from a negative, and batch deleting or replacing user tags. The Brightness/Contrast curve edit can better preserve detail in areas brightened to saturation. The other Retouch curve edits are generally 30% faster. Search Tags can now be used to create a set of images to choose from for a following batch operation. HDR and HDF automatically trim edges where all input images do not overlap. Six other small improvements and four bugfixes were made.

Other improvements include the option of re-using preconditioners, re-use of LU factorizations, and named mesh functions.
eLyXer (pronounced elixir) is a LyX to HTML converter. While there are a ton of such projects all over the Web, eLyXer has a clear focus on flexibility and elegant output. LyX is a wonderful text editor that produces beautiful PDF files. Internally, it exports documents to LaTeX, and from there to PDF. Sadly there is not an equivalent “export to HTML” option. With eLyXer, you can convert your master’s thesis, learned article, fascinating novel, or love letter to an HTML page that you can then publish on the Web. It is a standalone tool that does not depend on LyX.
Changes: Basic support for change tracking; better BibTeX parsing; and support for sizes in spaces, table columns, and boxes.
cvechecker reports about possible vulnerabilities on your system by scanning the installed software and matching the results with the CVE database. This is not a bullet-proof method and you will most likely have many false positives, but it is still better than nothing, especially if you are running a distribution with little security coverage.
Changes: The tool should now build properly on NetBSD and FreeBSD (although more user experience here is still welcome). THis release introduces a cvereport command (example output can be found at the project site), and has lowered its initial dependency requirements. pullcves now only loads the CVE XML changes in the database, rather than iterating across all CVE XML entries.
