Later I type ./configure an later I type "make" and I recive this error:

Hm, this seems to go deeper. I'll see if I can find the bug tracker...

It was gdkxft, the antialias patch for gdk.

      Strace rules! :^)

Harri, what can I do now to get rid of this bug?
Do I have to *uninstall* resp. *remove* the antialias patch for gdk or what else do I have to do?

Hm. It uses that LD_PRELOAD variable hack, so just not setting that works. I think I stopped using the patch.

Globally setting it also seemed to have the side-effect that it gets linked in into every compiled gdk program :-(

[»] Lopster
by Mutation - Jan 22nd 2001 12:53:16

I recently needed a Napster client and tried gnapster and GTK-Napster. GTK-Napster is a nifty-looking, but awfully buggy app, while gnapster is great, but still gave me some trouble. Lopster is IMO even better than gnapster and even looks better! (Transfer screen is excellent). More features, easier to handle... Just great!

[»] Excellent!!!
by DiskMan - Jan 13th 2001 01:59:21

By far the BEST Napster client for X! Even works flawlessly with my custom KDE/X wierdness! Has the most features I have seen in an X based client that actually work! Keep up the excellent work! I hope there is a new version sometime.

[»] Lopster Rules!
by ipsteal - Oct 5th 2000 19:13:53

By far it is the best Napster Clone I have yet seen/used.
The only things I would recommend for updating are:

1) When searching, supply a ping for the users the files come up for
2) Make a way to switch between requesting multiple files at once and making a local queue for multiple get from users so that only one file is requested at a time before the next.

Other than that, it rules. You can't go wrong with this program.

[»] I love it !
by inch pirate - Aug 22nd 2000 22:58:34

This is a great app. I would not have guessed that this was the first release, had I not known already. Gnapster is still 'cleaner' in the looks department, but that's mostly due to the limited feature set. I look forward to using this more.
