About: freshmeatGrinder is more than software and more than a mailing list. It's both. The program processes the freshmeat e-mail digests and reformats it moving more interesting entries to the top, and recently-repeated entries/entries without change descriptions to the bottom. This has been hooked up to a mailing list to save you the effort of setting it up yourself. Send a message with "subscribe" in the subject to "grinder-request@tummy.com" to subscribe. Changes: Version 1.00 is the first public release. The code is ugly, but it does include routines for parsing the freshmeat digest into an internal data-structure, which is then used to generate the message.
About: AbiWord is a cross-platform Open Source word processor. The goal is to make AbiWord full-featured, and remain lean. Changes: Lots of bug fixes, page view improvements and very basic clipboard support.

About: The Advanced Linux Sound Architecture is composed of several parts. The first is a fully modularized sound driver which supports module autoloading, devfs, isapnp autoconfiguration, and gives complete access to analog audio, digital audio, control, mixer, synthesizer, DSP, MIDI, and timer components of audio hardware. It can also receive calendar reminders from Yahoo Calendar and notify you when you have new Yahoo mail. It includes a few features not available in the windows version, such as an answering machine and automatic forwarding of incoming messages via email.
About: aterm (AfterStep term) is an xterm replacement, based on rxvt v.2.4.8. It includes features such as NeXT style scrollbar, resource efficient pseudo-transparency. It understands root background changes by AfterStep Pager and Esetroot. The primary goal of aterm is to provide cool visual features without resource consumption. It can be compiled to utilize AfterStep's libasimage for wider image format support.
About: lm_sensors provides essential tools for monitoring the temperatures, voltages, and fans of Linux systems with hardware monitoring devices. It contains a library for sensors access (libsensors), a command-line tool for sensor reporting (sensors), and a daemon (sensord). It also contains scripts for sensor hardware identification and fan speed control.
About: Nannie's basic purpose is to watch system files that should not be changed, at least in theory. It monitors them for change in inode, size, etc. and logs them to syslog.
