About: Fookb is an Xkb state indicator. It can be compiled as a standalone application and as a Window Maker docked application. Fookb can switch xkb groups and display a pixmap which corresponds to the locked group. It also can execute a command when a locked group is changed. Changes: First announcement.
About: ClanLib is a cross-platform game SDK currently supporting Windows and Linux. It provides easy-to-use interfaces for 2D graphics, input, sound, resources, networking, GUI, OpenGL, and more. The goal is to provide a game SDK that does all the dirty work that all modern games need to implement anyway, thus making the game developer concentrate on the gameplay instead of reinventing the wheel over and over again. Changes: Win32 project files bugs and missing files, network support (only Win32 and no demo apps)
About: The Free Pascal Compiler is a Turbo Pascal 7.0 and Delphi-compatible 32/64 bit Pascal Compiler. It comes with a fully TP 7.0-compatible run-time library. Some extensions have been added to the language, like function overloading. Shared libraries can be linked. Basic Delphi support is implemented with classes, exceptions, RTTI, and ansistrings. A Free Component Library (FCL) is available with the base classes. Bindings for X11, ncurses, GTK, OpenGL, zlib, mysql, interbase and postgres are available. Changes: Added ansistring support, win32 DLL generation, C printf support, open strings, memory debugging unit. Futher a lot of bugs have been fixed.
About: Uptimed is an uptime record daemon keeping track of the highest uptimes the system ever had. Instead of using a pid file to keep sessions apart from each other, it uses the system boot time. Uptimed has the ability to inform you of records and milestones through syslog and e-mail, and comes with a console front end to parse the records, which can also easily be used to show your records on your Web page. Changes: Some minor improvements and a major one regarding unique boot IDs. Multiple entries for one and the same boot session will no longer occur when using rdate, clock and alike programs.
About: RealTimeBattle is a programming game, in which robots controlled by programs are fighting each other. The goal is to destroy the enemies, using the radar to examine the environment and the cannon to shoot. Changes: Gtk 1.1.x is now supported, enhanced debug-mode and more bugfixes.
About: gentoo is a file manager written in C. It uses the GTK+ toolkit, and the two-pane concept, somewhat inspired by DOpus. gentoo strives to be very configurable, and also to let you do all configuration from a GUI within the program itself. Using advanced file typing and styling systems, gentoo determines how to display files in its listings, and also how to act on them. The package includes a set of over 120 unique handcrafted icons, for many different types of files. Changes: Mainly a compatibility release. This one really should work on Red Hat. Also fixed is a semi-major bug which would make gentoo crash while reading in an empty directory on certain systems. A short tutorial/howto on how to create your own commands for use in gentoo has been included and the icons have been upgraded to the latest package.
About: xfreecell is an another implementation of the famous solitaire game. It features animation of card movement, score and undo. Requires Xlib. Changes: Rounded corner cards and bugfixes.
About: Dancer is a stable, low-profile, channel defending IRC bot, entirely written in C. It has been compiled successfully on a large range of unix flavours and amiga and win32 too. Changes: Euro support, SEEN corrections and more bug fixes.
About: PostgreSQL is a robust relational database system with more than 20 years of active development that runs on all major operating systems. It is fully ACID compliant, and has full support for foreign keys, joins, views, triggers, and stored procedures (in multiple languages). It includes most SQL92 and SQL99 data types, including INTEGER, NUMERIC, BOOLEAN, CHAR, VARCHAR, DATE, INTERVAL, and TIMESTAMP. It also supports storage of binary large objects, including pictures, sounds, or video. It has native programming interfaces for C/C++, Java, .Net, Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, and ODBC, among others, and exceptional documentation. Changes: Version 6.4.2 of PostgreSQL has been released, after a messed up release of v6.4.1. Anyone running v6.4.1 is highly recommended to upgrade to v6.4.2 as soon as possible as the previous release has been withdrawn.
About: asp2php converts WWW Active Server Pages (ASP) files that run on the Microsoft IIS Web Server into PHP pages to run on Apache. Changes: Added lots of ASP functions and there is now a test binary available for download.
About: Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) is a network protocol analyzer, or "packet sniffer", that lets you capture and interactively browse the contents of network frames. The goal of the project is to create a commercial-quality packet analyzer for Unix, and the most useful packet analyzer on any platform. Changes: GTK 1.1.x support, enhanced Vines support, AIX iptrace file format support, bitfield decoding, as well as other miscellaneous fixes and improvements.
About: LEAP is a free RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) It is used as an educational tool around the world to aid students, researchers and teachers as they learn or teach database theory. LEAP is in active development by the author. Changes: Improved maintenance of system relations, new operators, updated documentation, bug fixes, Windows 95/NT GUI now also available.
About: bogtk is the first version of a back orifice client with a graphical user interface. It uses the Gtk toolkit and can be compiled with either version 1.0x or 1.1x. Changes: Scrolling now works with gtk1.1.x and it looks a whole lot nicer.
