 GtkEditor 0.0.5
 by N/A - Wed, Jan 6th 1999 21:06 UTC

About: GtkEditor is a source code editor widget for GTK+. It is currently used, in one version or another, in several GTK+/GNOME applications, including gIDE, VDKBuilder, GXEdit and Bluefish. The gtkeditor widget sub-classes the gtktext widget, and after initialization, the editor widget can be treated as the usual text widget, and all source-code editing features are taken care of by the widget itself. The behaviour of the editor is decided by dynamic libraries loaded during initialization of the widget. These libraries can be hand-coded or (in the future) created using tools supplied with GtkEditor.

Changes: Hacked to work with gtk versions >= 1.1.7

Changes: The binding is now Gtk+-1.1 specific, the Gtk part has been updated and lots of work has been done on the Gdk part. This is still considered beta code, although after testing it by re-implementing the testgtk example and by developing a graphical application for vector graphics, it seems already quite stable.

The additional interface can be either a physical interface or an IP alias.

 gentoo 0.9.21
 by N/A - Wed, Jan 6th 1999 13:01 UTC

About: gentoo is a file manager written in C. It uses the GTK+ toolkit, and the two-pane concept, somewhat inspired by DOpus. gentoo strives to be very configurable, and also to let you do all configuration from a GUI within the program itself. Using advanced file typing and styling systems, gentoo determines how to display files in its listings, and also how to act on them. The package includes a set of over 120 unique handcrafted icons, for many different types of files.

Changes: This release fixes a serious screw-up in 0.9.20 ({}-codes didn't work). It also fixes a long-standing bug in memory handling. I also glitzed up the text viewer quite a bit, and replaced the documentation with much more nicer-looking pages (still outdated, though). All in all, this is the version to have. Sorry for any inconvenience.

 Grip 0.7
 by N/A - Wed, Jan 6th 1999 12:09 UTC

About: Grip is a CD player and CD ripper/MP3-encoder for the GNOME desktop. It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia built in, but can also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav).
