About: lsb-fhs tests the Filesystem Hierarchy aspects of the Linux Standard Base. The V1.0 and V2.1-X tests correspond to FHS2.0 and FHS2.1, respectively, and are now obsolete. The V2.2-X tests correspond to the FHS2.2 specification. The 2.2 tests are the current tests used for LSB 1.3 certification. The V2.3-X tests correspond to the FHS 2.3 specification and will replace the V2.2 tests for LSB 2.x certification. The V2.3 tests have yet to be formally approved by the LSB test team. Changes: This is the first snapshot release , subject to review.
About: Grip is a CD player and CD ripper/MP3-encoder for the GNOME desktop. It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia built in, but can also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav). It also provides an automated frontend for MP3 encoders (presets for lame, bladeenc, l3enc, xingmp3enc, mp3encode, and gogo), letting you take a disc and transform it easily straight into MP3s. The Ogg Vorbis format is also supported. Internet disc lookups are supported for retrieving track information from disc database servers. Grip works with DigitalDJ to provide a unified, "computerized" version of your music collection. Changes: This version now uses http instead of the (now deprecated) cddb method of disc lookup. The use of a proxy server is supported for people behind firewalls. The output directory for ripping/encoding is now more configurable (tracks can be placed in subdirectories based on artist/disc, for example).
About: GNU xhippo is a simple GTK-based playlist manager, designed to play music using mpg123, xmp, or most other commandline-based players while providing a friendly, clean X interface. It is localised in both English and German. Its interface is based upon the Amiga program HippoPlayer. It supports drag-and-drop, has optional GNOME support, and has a simple text-based playlist format compatible with many other players. Changes: This is the first public release.
About: Irssi is a modular, terminal-based IRC client with Perl scripting. Changes: This is an initial release.
About: DigiTemp uses a simple serial port adapter to read temperatures from the Dallas Semiconductor 1-Wire DS1820 digital temperature sensors. It supports the DS9097-U adapter, supports DS2409 based 1-Wire hubs, and features a 1-Wire walk that will display all devices on the LAN, not just temperature sensors. Changes: Version 1.2 fixes a problem that all previous versions had with reading temperatures below 0 degrees C. (It was a 1-off error).
About: The DECnet for Linux project aims to provide the kernel-level socket layer and a set of applications to allow Linux systems to participate in a DECnet phase IV network. It currently has an application library (suitable for building DECnet functionality into X11R6), file and terminal access. Changes: This release has some minor bug fixes in dncopy and a beta version of a VMSmail <->TCP/IP gateway.
About: npadmin is a command line tool to administer network printers. It is based on the concepts of JetAdmin and other vendor's tools but is designed to be scriptable. It uses SNMP to query the common printer MIB (RFC 1759) and return information about the printer. There is a surprising amount of information available in the common printer MIB and since the vendors all use their private MIBs, this appears to be the only tool that makes it available. Changes: This new version of npadmin allows you to specify many printers on the command line which allows you to discover all the printers on a subnet and makes running scripts that monitor large numbers of printers much less demanding on the machine running it. Version 0.8.0 can also reboot some printers.
About: tgif is a vector-based drawing tool, with the additional benefit of being sort of a web-browser. That is, you can fetch drawings from a web server with it, and you can make objects in your picture into hotlinks to other parts of the drawing, or to other drawings accessible via HTTP.
About: DOSEmu (DOS Emulator) is a Linux application that enables the Linux OS to run many DOS programs including some DPMI apps. Changes: Two unofficial patches plus a few other small changes such as year updates in copywrites and other things.
About: IglooFTP is a graphical and user friendly FTP client. Its main goals are to be easy to use and intuitive when used by novice, but powerful and fully configurable in the hand of experienced users. It includes all the feature you may expect. Changes: This is essentially a bugfix release which adds support for GTK+ 1.1.11 and 1.1.12.

All commands and information are available through a simple and convenient tab dialog. Licq also has a completely configurable user interface with Skin and Icon pack support. It is written in C++ and comes with a GUI plugin using the Qt widget set. Other plugins are also available, like basic MSN support. Changes: Many changes and fixes including update personal and extended info, chat fixed (for real), imlib no longer used for skins, alert user now works, skin improvements, and grid lines work again.
