About: netatalk is an implementation of the AppleTalk Protocol Suite for Unix systems. It contains support for EtherTalk Phase I and II, AppleShare over IP, DDP, RTMP, NBP, ZIP, AEP, ATP, PAP, ASP, and AFP. It provides Appletalk file, printing, and routing services on Solaris 2.5, Linux, OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD, SunOS 4.1, Mac OS X, and Ultrix 4. About: gEDA is a suite of electronic design automation (EDA) tools. Currently, the project offers a mature suite of free software applications for electronics design, including schematic capture, attribute management, bill of materials (BOM) generation, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, analog and digital simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout. Changes: This version includes a stroke enabled gschem, the first release of gpcb, the first release of gsymcheck (symbol checker), support for gtk+ 1.2.0, and the usual bug fixes.
About: XEphem is a complete astronomy program. Changes: Added Uranometria and Millennium atlases volume/page in tracking labels, retrieving DSS images in compressed form, support for USNO A1.0, SA1.0 and SA2.0 astrometric catalogs, support for ESA Tycho proper motion catalog, support for live world satellite cloud cover underlay and various bugs have been fixed.
About: mpegCam shoots movies with a B&W Quickcam and compresses them to MPEG format for archival and distribution over the web. Guerilla cinematographers can think of many applications. About: August is a free html editor for the UNIX platform. It is a non- wysiwyg editor, like Aswedit or Hotdog, and is written with the Tcl/TK scripting language and graphical toolkit. Changes: Renamed from xSITE to August, fixed some bugs related to saving and opening files, improved "Misc" menu, preview with Netscape has been improved, as well as minor improvements and bugfixes.
About: The ECLiPt Mirroring Tool is a full featured FTP mirror script written in Python. It supports nice config files, many features for controlling the mirror (include, exclude of files, special watermarks for deleting files, download just the latest version of some program), as well as producing nice HTML output. Changes: Bugfixes to make it work on libc5 systems, include/exclude regular expression fixes, support for template files instead of generation of html-code, and a manpage has been added.
About: ECLiPt Roaster is a GNOME interface to mkisofs and cdrecord which can be used for writing data and audio CDs and ISO images on the fly. Changes: Basically a maintance release (code changed to work with newer gnome-python versions), small bugfix, and scrollbar added to output window.
About: Hatman is a Pacman clone to run on svgalib or ggi. Hatman does or will support drop in gamefile support, Level and Sprite editors in the main distribution, running on linux/svgalib or linux/ggi and in future dos and windows as well as high resolution graphics and raytraced graphics. Changes: This development version includes many new features including support for various levels of truecolour, and those include transparencies.
About: The tclreadline package makes the GNU readline facilities available for interactive Tcl shells. This includes history expansion and file/command completion. Command and subcommand completion is provided for all Tcl/Tk commands. Command completion can be easily added for user-defined commands. Changes: Initial development release.
About: GNU Midnight Commander is a text-mode full-screen file manager. It uses a two panel interface and a subshell for command execution. It includes an internal editor with syntax highlighting and an internal viewer with support for binary files. Also included is Virtual Filesystem (VFS), that allows files on remote systems (e.g. FTP servers) and files inside archives to be manipulated like real files.
About: xps dynamically displays in an X Window the Unix processes as a tree or forest, the roots on the left and the leaf processes on the right. The status of each process (running, sleeping, stopped, etc.) can be indicated by a color. Different users appear as different colors. Process selection can be made per user, all users or through a regular expression pattern. A process can be selected to show ps information or to send the process a signal. Changes: POSIX regular expresssions can be used to select processes to watch, button to show kernel processes added in main display, some bug fixes, mostly small, reliability enhancements and the never ending quest for comprehensive and correct documentation.
About: The GIMP Imagemap plug-in enables The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) to create clickable imagemaps in CSIM, CERN or NCSA format. Changes: Ported to Gimp 1.1.x and GTK 1.2, implemented zooming, objects that are currently being edited cannot be deleted anymore, show area info in statusbar when moving mouse over areas and added warning dialog for unsaved changes when quiting.
About: Melange is a chat server written in C++ and a bundled Java applet. It also supports direct telnet connections and includes features such as public and private channels, hidden caves, anonymous channels, and many advanced commands. An easy to use group/policy system allows you to configure the chat for various demands, and an optional MySQL backend is supported along with multi-language support. Changes: Bugfixes as well as support for Catalan.
About: lm_sensors provides essential tools for monitoring the temperatures, voltages, and fans of Linux systems with hardware monitoring devices. It contains a library for sensors access (libsensors), a command-line tool for sensor reporting (sensors), and a daemon (sensord). It also contains scripts for sensor hardware identification and fan speed control. Changes: More device support, to include Acer Labs Inc. (ALI) M1541 and M1543C South Bridges, the SiS 5595 southbridge, and an array of sensor chip devices from Analog Devices, Linear Technology, Genesys Logic, and more. A new suite of utilities has also been included to do things such as help examine new (and unsupported) devices, parse the contents of EEPROMs on PC100 DIMMs, a daemon to provide email notification of a sensed hardware health problem, etc.
About: site-dater.pl is a short script which will scan a web hierarchy and generate a table of web links (sorted by modification date) within that hierarchy. Changes: Added an option to follow or ignore symbolic links; added a CGI/SSI mode; finished 1.0 features.
About: HickUP is a small multi-platform system for managing which versions and programs to use with a nice GUI or command line utility. It has project support to allow the users to setup multiple profiles, which can be chosen at login or in a specific shell. Changes: First version.
About: Groundhog is a small logic game written in C++. The GUI is built with GTK. The purpose is to put balls in pockets of the same color by manipulating a maze of tubes. Changes: GTK 1.1.x and GTK1.2 compliant. Added toolbar and default user name in high score table, plus bugfixes.
