 Grip 1.9
 by N/A - Tue, Apr 27th 1999 15:52 UTC

About: Grip is a CD player and CD ripper/MP3-encoder for the GNOME desktop. It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia built in, but can also use external rippers (such as cdda2wav). The Ogg Vorbis format is also supported. Internet disc lookups are supported for retrieving track information from disc database servers. Grip works with DigitalDJ to provide a unified, "computerized" version of your music collection.

Changes: Along with numerous bug fixes, this version adds SMP support (for multiple simultaneous encode processes), a new config-file format, and track display in the icon window title. This release should work much better on libc5 systems.
