About: GMasqdialer provides a GNOME/GTK client for the Masqdialer system. The masqdialer system provides a user-friendly cross-platform method of controlling a masquerade box's modem connection from any computer on a LAN. Changes: Some GUI changes, an animation is now shown while dialing, suppt to automatically run some command after connected to Internet added, and couple of bugs fixed.
About: CwMtx is a library written in C++ that provides the matrix and vector operations that are used extensively in engineering and science problems. A special feature of this library is the quaternion class which implements quaternion math. Quaternions are very useful for attitude determination in 3D space because they do not suffer from singularities. Furthermore, successive rotations and transformations of vectors can be accomplished by simple quaternion multiplication. Attitude dynamics can be expressed in a very compact form using quaternions Changes: Initial public release.
About: Fetchmail is a free, full-featured, robust, well-documented remote-mail retrieval and forwarding utility intended to be used over on-demand TCP/IP links (such as SLIP or PPP connections). It supports every remote-mail protocol now in use on the Internet: POP2, POP3, RPOP, APOP, KPOP, all flavors of IMAP, and ESMTP ETRN, ODMR, SMTP, LMTP, and local delivery agents. Changes: RPA support works again, added debian_rc startup/shutdown script to contrib/, yet another monitor option fix, various small option-processing fixes, teach fetchmailconf about HP OpenMail, SunOS compilation fixes, fix to not send bouncemail on transient errors, improved UID parsing and Fetchmail now logs and recovers from SIGPIPE errors produced by broken socket streams or MDAs. The current poll cycle is terminated.
About: IRM is a Web-based asset tracking and help desk/work request system built for IT departments and help desks. It keeps detailed information about each computer, as well as a complete history of work requests. It keeps track of detailed computer information such as CPU type/speed, amount of RAM, Hard Drive Size, serial numbers, etc. The system includes the ability to track networking hardware and any type of software. Also included is support for email notification of both users and technicians, and some support for monitoring computer systems via SNMP.

About: Ping is the official tennis simulator of the US army. It is a fast graphic action game featuring bonuses and sweat carebears. Ping can be played against the computer or another human player. Changes: Scrolltext is now up-to-date, compilation is now easier, cheat code handling added, bugs with the sound effects fixed, and cleaned source file permissions.
About: Perlfect Search is a Web site indexing and searching CGI application. Features include full-text and meta tag indexing, keyword weighting, relevance-ranked searches, dir/file excludes, stopwords, boolean searches, and an automatic installation and configuration utility that works with most Web server setups. It works on both Linux/Unix and Windows. Changes: New indexing system, using a document vector model, for even more accurate results, internationalization has been added (perhaps the most requested feature), added a faster and more expandable searching algorithm, now uses much less memory, allowing the indexing of vast collections of documents, and improved setup utility.
About: Ident2 is an alternative approach to auth/ident services. It was written from the ground up and can run either as a child handler of inetd or as a standalone daemon with no user intervention. Users can set their own replies or toggle random replies, all at the system administrator's preference, of course. Full compliance with RFC1413 is attempted. Changes: Ident2 is nearing its final release. The author is looking for a new author to carry on work on ident2, or ident2's next release will be its last.The server is much more stable now, and now does internal work more correctly and efficiently.
About: AutoRPM is a program that can do any combination of the following: mirror RPMs from an FTP site, keep installed RPMs consistent with an FTP site or local directory and keep installed RPMs in a cluster or network of systems consistent. It is highly flexible and contains a fully command-line driven interactive install mode (for installing RPMs from the queue or for installing RPMs from your system interactively). It also handles recursive dependencies, multiple versions of the same RPM, the same RPM with multiple architectures, and more. It does some of the same tasks as up2date and AutoUpdate. Changes: bugfixes and feature additions, like use of FTP pools for load balancing.

About: GNU Portable Threads (Pth) is a very portable POSIX/ANSI-C based library for Unix platforms providing non-preemptive priority-based scheduling for multiple threads of execution ("multithreading") inside server applications. All threads run in the same address space, but each thread has its own individual program-counter, run-time stack, signal mask and errno variable. The scheduling is done in a cooperative way, i.e. the threads are dispatched based on priority and pending events. The event facility allows threads to wait until various types of events occur, including pending I/O on filedescriptors, elapsed timers, pending I/O on message ports, thread and process termination, and even customized callback functions. Changes: This is a bugfix release: It fixes pthread_exit() and pth_exit(), and adds a few consistency checks related to timeval structures.

As it goes, it modifies the original HTML pages so that the absolute links get changed to relative links, and links to active pages get changed to the resulting pages. It supports thirteen different languages. Changes: Added options to pause a download, made some more small enhancements, and fixed a few bugs
About: jEdit is an Open Source text editor written in Java. It has many useful features, such as syntax highlighting, bracket matching, regular expression searching, multiple file search and replace, folding, and keyboard macros. jEdit also includes a powerful plugin architecture that allows more than 80 plugins to be downloaded and installed from within the editor. Changes: Documentation rewritten in SGML-DocBook (distribution contains PostScript and HTML versions, DVI can also be generated), along with many other fixes and enhancements.
About: alarm applet is a GNOME panel applet that provides a way of either alerting the user that a particular time has arrived, or it can be used to run a command at a specified time. Think of it as an alarm clock for your desktop. Changes: Sound alarms have been added, along with the ability to have persistant alarms between sessions. Some support for DND has also been implemented.
About: TkNotePad is a simple text editor like the Windows notepad. Changes: Fixed a Find/FindNext bug, fixed a bug that was adding lines at the end of files, used "stack change checking" so that the user is only prompted to save if the file has been changed, fixed a reported "behavioral" issue with the File->New and File->Open menu options, and some code cleanups.
About: GAG is a Graphical Boot Manager with a lot of features. It doesn't need a partition, it works with primary and extended partitions in every hard disk, it has a lot of icons, it allows you to put passwords for each operating system, it can swap hard disks and it can be tested from diskette. The SafeBoot feature allows you to boot your hard disk even if GAG is overwritten. It includes extensive support for many languages and keyboard types. Changes: Added the new SafeBoot feature, which allows a boot the hard disk even if GAG is overwritten, or can't be loaded, can now swap hard disks, allowing the installation of other opreaying systems on non-primary hard drives, added new icons for Solaris and SCO Unix, and other various bugfixes and enhancements.
About: Vacation is an e-mail auto-responder loosely based on the original by Larry Wall and Tom Christiansen. It is designed to emulate most vacation clones and specifically, the early Solaris version. Changes: No longer relies on the MTA to add a fully qualified domain name to the user name.
About: Tinyproxy is a fast light-weight HTTP proxy for POSIX operating systems. Designed from the ground up to be fast and yet small, it is an ideal solution for sites where a full-featured HTTP proxy is required, but the system resources for a larger proxy are unavailable. Tinyproxy is fully compatible with all existing Web browsers and has a number of useful features. Changes: Fixed a potentially fatal memory leak with the new buffer code, and added the ability to select whether to log to syslog at all, and if not, don't include the code (this increases portability).
About: Xtradius is a radius server that permits you to handle user authentication and accounting request via external scripts. You can handle script requests for user accounting, user authentication, NAS start and NAS stop packets. You can also write additional information into the NAS detail logfile. Parameters to scripts are passed via command line options or environment variables, making it very simple to implement SQL-based user accounting, authentication and account expiration. It is also compatible with "standard" cistron radius server. Changes: Updated to Cistron Radius 1.5.4.3, Usernames now can contain spaces, the xtradius dictionary keys have been changed, added execparams config file which let you to specify param char and pairs (now any user data can be passed to scripts), added script execution while writing detail file. There is now a sample perl plugin to handle users using DBI and postgresql DB available on the website.
About: Midgard is a persistent storage framework. It provides an object-oriented and replicated environment for building data-intensive applications. It ships with a MidCOM content management system built on the Midgard framework. MidCOM's features include Web-based authoring WYSIWYG interfaces and a component interface for installing additional Web functionality. Midgard is built on the GNOME stack of libraries like GLib and libgda, and has language bindings for C, Python, and PHP. Communications between applications written in the different languages happen over D-Bus. The CMS runs on the LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) platform. Changes: This is the first release of Midgard's new development series: It contains all new features that will be in the soon-to-be-released stable 1.2, plus ODBC connectivity which has still many problems. Do not use this version on production servers.
About: BitGen accepts text strings of 1's, 0's and hex digits and converts them to equivalent "pwl" voltage sources for inclusion in netlists for circuit simulation (with SPICE or Spectre, for example). Periodic waveforms (eg, clocks) can be exported as "pulse" voltage sources. Parameters such as rise time, fall time, pulse width and duty cycle can be set on a waveform-by-waveform basis. BitGen is written in Perl with the Perl/Tk toolkit and has an easy-to-use graphical interface.

About: KHexEdit is a versatile binary file editor. Its key features are undo/redo, overwrite/insert modes, hexadecimal, octal, binary or text only display, goto/search/replace/insert, character table, pretty printing (postscript), export to HTML, session management and drag/drop within the KDE environment and compatibility with Qt-1.4x and Qt-2.x. Changes: Added a Hex/Oct/Bin/Dec/ASCII chart with insert capability, HTML export support (with tables, colors, and a toc page), wihch is mostly WYSIWYG, the export dialog has been improved, the Qt-14x version has an extended preferences dialog box, and now remembers cursor position from one session to the next, the recent list can be cleared on exit or demand, and some bugs have been fixed.
About: TmCde JAVA frontend is a JAVA frontend of a timecode calculator. It supports 25, 30 drop frame and 30 non drop frame standards. An online demonstration is available. Changes: Rewritten in pure JAVA (JDK 1.1), without using Borland J++ classes.
About: xlHtml converts an Excel spreadsheet file (.xls) into highly-optimized HTML. It includes scripts to allow it to be used as a Netscape or mutt plugin and as a xls handler for Apache. The program currently supports string, blank, boolean, error, integer, floating point, hyperlinks, and formula cells. It can also output in XML, tab delimited, or comma separated values (CSV). Changes: Added support for multiple worksheets, worksheet titles, various minor appearance changes, also fixed a compatibilty issue with Excel97 bool & err cell formats.
About: Gifsicle is a powerful command-line program for manipulating GIF image files. It has good support for transparency and colormap manipulation, simple image transformations (cropping, flipping), and creating, deconstructing, and editing GIF animations. It can also optimize GIF animations for space. Also included is a GIF animation viewer and a program that checks whether two GIFs look the same. Changes: This version fixes several serious bugs introduced in 1.14. Gifview is now more powerful because it can now unoptimize or animate any GIF image.
About: gFTP is a free multithreaded file transfer client for *NIX based machines running X11R6 or later. It has text and GTK+ 1.2/2.x interfaces and supports the FTP, FTPS (control connection only), HTTP, HTTPS, FSP, and SSH protocols and has FTP and HTTP proxy server support. It supports UNIX, EPLF, Novell, MacOS, VMS, MVS, and NT (DOS) style directory listings, and has a bookmarks menu that allows you to quickly connect to remote sites. About: This game is a port of GLHeretic to Linux. It is also the first usable port of DOS-Heretic to Linux which runs under X11, GGI, SDL, and SVGAlib. About: xtermset is a command line utility to change several characteristics of an xterm. These are things like title, foreground color, background color, geometry and position. Furthermore the xterm can be iconified, restored to normal size, or refreshed. Changes: Added terminal type checking and slight modifications to the homepage.
About: passwdd is a client/server packages which allows basic synchronization of password files among different machines. There are Linux/Solaris server and console clients. With Visual C/C++, you can compile the Windows version of the clients. Perl CGIs are included as well. Changes: Internal RSA encryption for all passwords. Changes in "useradd" utility.
About: Ilib is an image manipulation library for developers. It's capable of reading and writing images (PPM/PGM, PNG, JPEG, GIF, XPM, BMP) and many drawing functions including drawing lines and text using any BDF (X11) font. It's great for generating GIFs/PNGs from a CGI or generating graphs. Ilib includes sample applications for generating graphs for HTTP access.log files and QuakeWorld server frag log files and a tool for creating image indices from a group of images. Changes: Improved GIF support: now supports reading/writing transparent and interlaced images. Updated iindex client app to generate 3D-style mini-images for imagemaps and HTML for client-side imagemaps.
About: wmakerconf is a GTK+ based configuration tool for Window Maker window manager. All Window Maker attributes (including the application menu and themes) can be configured, making it an alternative (or add-on) for the built in Window Maker configuration tool WPrefs. Changes: Added libwmfun texture dialog and support for EXEC and SEXEC rootmenu commands for wmaker 0.60.0. Moreover, the color selection dialog of textures has been improved.
About: The DBMAIL package replaces the normal UNIX mailing system. All email and user data is stored in a database. You can create an unlimited number of email accounts, which can be checked using the POP3 or IMAP protocol. Users can maintain their own set of email addresses. It is more scalable, more secure, and faster than traditional mail systems. DBMAIL has storage drivers for PostgreSQL and MySQL, and it has authentication drivers for PostgreSQL, MySQL, and LDAP.
