About: Voyager Application Server 3.1 (VAS) offers Voyager(TM) users the means to build scalable, secure, distributed, transaction-oriented applications. Because VAS embraces the standard Java server component model, Enterprise JavaBeans, application developers will have access to the burgeoning market of off-the-shelf server- side application components. VAS also allows application developers to concentrate on business logic, not infrastructure. The details of transactions, security, threading, and distribution are handled transparently. VAS's advanced graphical tools greatly simplify application deployment, management and monitoring. And VAS is the only application server that has a universal container. About: GNU Portable Threads (Pth) is a very portable POSIX/ANSI-C based library for Unix platforms providing non-preemptive priority-based scheduling for multiple threads of execution ("multithreading") inside server applications. All threads run in the same address space, but each thread has its own individual program-counter, run-time stack, signal mask and errno variable. The scheduling is done in a cooperative way, i.e. the threads are dispatched based on priority and pending events. The event facility allows threads to wait until various types of events occur, including pending I/O on filedescriptors, elapsed timers, pending I/O on message ports, thread and process termination, and even customized callback functions. Changes: This version fixes a nasty priority queue related bug and provides a few cleanups and minor enhancements.

It is distributed to work with a simple text-based interface and with a user-friendly web-based interface. Changes: Added web based interface.

It provides flexible patterns for formatting messages, where the pattern determines the order of the variable parts of the messages, and the format for each of those variables. These patterns can be stored in resource files for translation to different languages. Included are more than 100 codepage converters for interaction with non-unicode systems. Changes: Bug fixes and more code pages.

About: Apsfilter is a magic printfilter, allowing you to print different document types "automagically" without having to convert them manually into something which is understood by your printer. It supports the latest GhostScript version and 3rd-party printer drivers (such as hpijs, ijs, hpdj, pcl3, and gimp-print). It autodetects lots of file, archive, and compression types. It supports printing on local as well as on Appletalk, Unix, and Windows remote printers. General and "per printer-queue" based config files allow you to configure the printer for your needs. The lpr command line options allow you to change printing parameters like print quality, orientation, duplex mode, etc. "on the fly" without having to edit any config file. A SETUP script helps you to test various supported ghostscript drivers prior installation, makes the necessary entries in /etc/printcap, creates spool directories, and creates apsfilter default config files as needed. A handbook in HTML is available. Several tools are also included: "aps2file" allows you to print to a file via apsfilter, "apspreview" previews files as generated by apsfilter using gv and friends, and "apsfilter-bug" assists you in doing bug and problem reports.
