It displays the processes of one or more computers (like ps or top), allows killing, renicing, and signal sending, shows lots of details on selected processes, shows CPU/Memory usage and history graphs, and is capable of watching networked computers in addition to the local one. It also provides an easy way to send signals to processes based on their owners (uid), groups (gid), and string matching. Changes: Added POSIX signal sending, corrected RSS and TTY listings, improved process listing, added hostname to titlebar, and a few other changes.
About: CGIWrap is a setuid wrapper that allows users to install and execute their own cgi scripts that get executed as their own userid. Much of the idea of suexec came from CGIWrap, however, cgiwrap stands on its own, and works with all web servers. CGIWrap must be installed by a system administrator, but after that, users can do their own web scripting. Changes: Minor updates, FAQ improvements, some better error msgs, etc. Also updates on anoncvs access.

About: OSSP mm is a 2-layer abstraction library which simplifies the usage of shared memory between related processed under Unix platforms. It both hides all platform dependent implementation details (allocation, locking, etc.) when dealing with shared memory segments and provides a high-level malloc-style API for a convenient way to work with data-structures inside those shared memory segments.
About: afbackup is a client-server backup system allowing many workstations to backup to a central server either simultaneously or serially. Backups can be started remotely from the server or via cron jobs on the the clients. Any streaming device, including a drive partition acting as a "virtual" tape changer, can be used for storing data. Autochangers can be used, if an appropriate auxiliary program, such as mtx or stctl, is available and working. afbackup has been tested on Linux, AIX, IRIX, FreeBSD, Digital Unix (OSF1), Solaris and HP-UX. The clientside has also been tested on SunOS and OpenBSD. Changes: A full backup split into pieces does no longer modify the timestamp, builtin compression, faster (backward compatible) packing format, bug fixed requiring unnecessary workaround for afrestore -[eEf] on new installation, restore -[eEf] now works together with -[RC], option -G for (full|incr)_backup and afclient to request a new or reused cartridge, completely any-shit-in-filenames-safe, e.g. newlines or non-printable characters are allowed in filenames now, cartridge sets may consist of arbitrary cartridges, enhanced database saving capability through command output saving/command input restoring feature, client configuration file must be owned by root now (security fix).
About: autorun automagically recognizes all available CDROMs in the system, mounts them upon insertion of a media and executes a possible autorun executable on the CD. The user can remove the media; autorun will call unmount after that. Changes: notify-insert, notify-eject options and parsing their command string as well as documentation updates.

It is fully integrated with PTlink IRC Services and PTlink Open Proxy Monitor, providing a great platform for anyone starting an IRC network. Changes: Initial announcement.
About: Whowatch is an interactive utility that displays information about the users currently on the machine in real time. Besides standard information (login name, tty, host, user's process) you can see the connection type (ie. telnet or ssh). You can also watch the process tree, navigate it, and send INT and KILL signals. Changes: Added ability to display processes owners and to send INT and KILL signals to selected process. All screen routines have been fully rewritten as well.
About: R is a language and environment for statistical computing and graphics. It is similar to S, which was developed at Bell Laboratories by John Chambers et al. It provides a wide variety of statistical and graphical techniques (linear and nonlinear modelling, statistical tests, time series analysis, classification, clustering, etc.). R is designed as a true computer language with control-flow constructions for iteration and alternation, and it allows users to add additional functionality by defining new functions. For computationally intensive tasks, Fortran and C code can be linked and called at run time. Changes: There are numerous improvements, including a first step in improving performance, attached objects, libraries, etc. are now hashed, performance gains will be particularly apparent if large packages are in use. There is a first version of package ts for time-series analysis available as well.
About: GProc is a GTK application which allows you to manage your running processes with only a few mouse clicks. It is very configurable and uses skins for better integration with your desktop. Changes: More configuration stuff and some minor bugs fixed.
About: Sawfish (the window manager formerly known as Sawmill) is an extensible window manager using a Lisp-based extension language. All window decorations are configurable and all user-interface policy is controlled through the language. Its aim is to manage windows in the most flexible and attractive manner possible. As such it does not implement desktop backgrounds, application docks, or other things that may be achieved through separate applications. Sawfish is mostly GNOME-compliant; almost all configuration may be made through a graphical interface. Changes: Added session management, display window position/dimensions whilst moving/resizing and added mechanisms for setting themes on a per-window basis.
About: ROCK Linux is a distribution build kit for creating Linux distributions. You can easily design and build your own distribution by choosing packages, compilers, and optimization options, and optionally enable the GCC Stack-Smashing Protector for enhanced security. It is also possible to choose custom configure options, cross-compile, and much more. Many specialized targets (customized distributions) have already been created, such as a Desktop, Router, or Minimal distribution. A variety of architectures are supported. Changes: This is the 2nd release of the ROCK Linux development tree. Lots of bugs have been fixed, the code has been massively cleaned up, a new extension system for 3rd party packages has been added (including some demo extensions), added support for the new netfilter system (iptables) to the startup scripts and the dump-config program, added Tcl/Tk and irda-utils.
About: GObject Builder (GOB) is a simple preprocessor for easily creating GObjects (glib objects). It reads a class description file with inline C code and produces .c and .h object files for you. It allows you to easily use most of the features of the GObject system and avoids typos by reducing the amount of code needed. In general, the amount of code is about the same as for OO languages such as Java or C++, but you still have to only use C and you get all the power of the GObject system. Changes: Fixed varargs bug, added private signal and virtual wrappers.
About: The anpa utility takes a newswire service feed (ie. AP, UPI, BayCity, SportsTicker) that conforms to the ANPA 1312 specification from a tty or file and outputs an IETF RFC-822 (mail.local or rmail) style file that can be injected into some data stream like USENET or Internet mail. It can also do things like send the article to printers, fax machines, pagers or run any application such as one that would toggle a data line on a printer port to turn on and off a lamp via a solid state relay. Changes: First public release.
About: masqidentd is an Ident daemon for Linux systems that use IP masquerading. It implements the recommendations in RFC1413. It also has the ability to forward Ident requests from a client to a machine sitting behind the masquerade service. Users also have the ability to override the default Ident response. This program is most useful for people who use IRC using mIRC or Pirch behind IP masquerade. masqidentd is intended for use with ipchains only. Changes: Fixed forwarding of requests to clients behind the masquerade service. Also responses are now terminated with \r\n.

About: DB_Browser is a CGI tool for developers working with any relational database supported by Perl::DBI. It easily facilitates searching, editing, and adding to tables within a database. While it can be used as a regular interface to database data itself, it works well as a supplemental tool for developers creating their own primary interface. Changes: Version 1.3b1 finally introduces the ability to work with MySQL databases. This is a development version though, which means it needs testing and might contain bugs. Note: Version 1.21 has also been released featuring minor cosmetic changes.
