About: wchat is a telnet based Chat Server written in C. It is designed to use minimal CPU and memory resources, and to be a modular high-level code base. What this means is that all low-level functions are written in separate libraries which wchat uses, allowing any additions or changes to the functionality of the chat to be very simple and straightforward. wchat is an extremely stable and solid base from which to build a chat environment. wchat is not a web-chat, but is commonly connected to via standard mud clients. Changes: Initial Release.
About: Basilisk II is a free, portable, Open Source 68k Mac emulator. It requires a copy of a 512K or 1MB Mac ROM and a copy of MacOS 7.x or 8.x to run. Changes: Improvements on the SheepNet driver, automated detection of mounted HFS volumes, and DGA screenmode improvements.
About: ESM (Extensible System Monitor) is a daemon that lets you tie together plugins to monitor your system. For instance if you want to be emailed whenever a harddrive fails you could use the included esmsyslog plugin which would notify you of any 'emerg' syslog messages, such as a harddrive failure. If you then decide you also want to know if TripWire detects anything you can use another monitor that reports on TripWire. If you want to know if the load on your system suddenly goes up you can do that too. ESM will get the results of all of these monitors, make a system report and then send that report with a sender. All of this is done automatically, so you can get some sleep. Changes: You can now specify times in seconds, minutes, hours, or days in the config files, and ESMSysLog will now print the urgency of each message before the message.
About: Gentry aids in the entry of data into a MySQL database through the use of a GUI. It requires a database and table on a local MySQL server and connects using your username. From there, the program builds a data entry screen based on the table columns. Changes: First release.
About: nstreams is a program that analyzes the networks streams occuring on a network and prints them in a human readable form. This is useful when you want to set up a firewall but do not know your needs/the needs of your customers. nstreams can read tcpdump output files or directly listen on a given interface, and may even produce ipchains (Linux) or ipfw (BSD) firewall rules instead of printing the streams, letting you build your firewall automagically. Changes: nstreams is now compatible with the tcpdump of RedHat 6.1, installation problems have been solved, and a segfault that occured with the -l option has been fixed.
About: Maildrop is a powerful email filter/delivery agent. It supports mbox-style mailboxes and maildirs (a mail storage format used by Qmail). Its mail filtering language supports RFC822 parsing and GDBM/Berkeley DB database files. The maildrop package also includes a command-line tool to perform various operations on MIME messages. Changes: A bug in the handling of messages with severely corrupted headers has been fixed.
About: cadaver is a command-line WebDAV client. It supports resource upload/download/display, namespace operations (copy/move), collection deletion/creation, property manipulation, and locking operations. Changes: '.' is now handled in paths, and minor bugfixes have been made.
About: jEdit is an Open Source text editor written in Java. It has many useful features, such as syntax highlighting, bracket matching, regular expression searching, multiple file search and replace, folding, and keyboard macros. jEdit also includes a powerful plugin architecture that allows more than 80 plugins to be downloaded and installed from within the editor. Changes: This version adds a graphical, pure Java installer, keyboard macros, command repetition (C+ENTER 100 C+d C+d deletes 100 lines, etc.), and fixes various bugs. The new HTML plugin is also bundled with this release.
About: TkSeti is a GUI to control the SETI@Home client for UNIX. It can passively monitor an already running setiathome client, manually run/kill/pause/continue the setiathome client, automatically run the client only on certain days between certain hours, and start/stop/pause the client when TkSeti starts and exits. On Linux platforms it can automatically run/kill/pause/continue the setiathome client based on system idleness by monitoring interrupt controlled devices such as keyboard, mouse, etc. It even keeps track of your personal best Spike and Gaussian scores, and notifies you if you or your friends make the official Top Users, Spikes or Gaussians lists.
About: Xwpe is a programming environment with a user interface that mimics the Borland C and Pascal family of products. From within xwpe you can edit, compile, and debug programs. The xwpe-alpha project was an attempt to continue development and bug fixes for xwpe. Additional releases may occasionally occur, but major development has ceased.
About: Reverse Pimpage Revision 2 is the rewrite of Reverse Pimpage. Its purpose is to allow you remote access to boxes that are behind firewalls. This is extremely useful for boxes which use LAN IP's as well as firewalls which only allow you to browse the web and not access your box from home. However, it's not necessarily useful if you have administrative access to the firewall itself. Changes: Terminal emulation, bugs fixes, and a configure script.
About: memwatch is an ANSI C fault tolerant memory leak and corruption detection tool. Basically, you add a header file to your souce code files, and compile with MEMWATCH defined or not. Check the README and USING files for more instructions. Changes: This version should work fine on 64-bit platforms. Users of 32 or 16 bit platforms don't really need this one.
