About: portfwd is a small user-level daemon which forwards incoming TCP connections and/or UDP packets to remote hosts. Multiple forwarders can be specified in a flexible configuration file. There is support for FTP forwarding and transparent proxy. Changes: First release.
About: webbase is an Internet crawler. It is able to crawl and maintain millions of URLs and store information about them in a MySQL database. The interface is either a command line program or a C library. It contains hooks to plug a full text indexing database. Changes: A fix for memory leaks and a timeout in connection, a new hook to use the mifluz library, and unlimited URL size.
About: uri is a library that analyses URIs and transform them. It is designed to be fast and occupy as little memory as possible. The basic function of this library is to transform a URI into a structure with one field for each component of the URI and vice versa. Changes: Use of MD5 encoded path names in the default FURI mode instead of readable path names to prevent overflowing a directory if many URLs are handled, and a public uri_string function, giving access to the backend function for people who know what they are doing.

The interactive nature allows the program to be more thorough when securing, while the educational component produces an admin who is less likely to compromise the increased security. About: doIRC is an IRC client completely written in Java. It supports MDI interfaces to multiple channels, queries, and DCCs. It also has many other user-friendly features, and now supports "plugins". Changes: New client lock/unlock, event-driven toolbar and menuitem controls, a time-out option for the server connection, a utilities menu with the embedded finger client, and more.
About: Explore2fs is a Windows program that provides read support for Linux ext2 and ext3 filesystems under NT4, Win95, Win98, WinME, Win2000, and WinXP.
About: Dali Clock is a digital clock for Mac OS X, the X Window System, and PalmOS devices. When a digit changes, it "melts" into its new shape with color-cycling. Changes: A Palm Pilot port, configure is now used instead of imake, and ANSI C is now required.
About: Sawfish (the window manager formerly known as Sawmill) is an extensible window manager using a Lisp-based extension language. All window decorations are configurable and all user-interface policy is controlled through the language. Its aim is to manage windows in the most flexible and attractive manner possible. As such it does not implement desktop backgrounds, application docks, or other things that may be achieved through separate applications. Sawfish is mostly GNOME-compliant; almost all configuration may be made through a graphical interface. Changes: Themes are now evaluated in a restricted environment for security purposes, support for internalization has been added, many new commands have been added, and many bugs have been fixed.
About: TiLP is a linking program for Texas Instruments' graphing calculators. It can handle any TI calculator from TI73 to V200 with any link cable (parallel, serial, TI's Black/Gray/Silver Link, AVRlink, and virtual). It features backup and restore, sending and receiving variables, ROM dumping, screen captures, grouping and ungrouping of TI files, and runs on UNIX, Windows, and Mac OS. Changes: TI83 support.
About: gswitchit is a simple keyboard state indicator for the GNOME panel. It supports up to 4 keyboard groups and has customizable images for each group. Changes: A new German translation, and switchable layouts by double-clicking on an applet or using the applet menu.
About: MindTerm is a complete ssh-client in pure Java. It can be used either as a standalone Java application or as a Java applet. Three packages of importance are provided (terminal, ssh, and security). The terminal package is a rather complete vt102/xterm-terminal, and the ssh-package contains the ssh- protocol and also "drop-in" socket replacements to use ssh-tunnels transparently from a Java application/applet. It also contains functionality to realize a ssh-server. Finally, the security package contains RSA, DES, 3DES, Blowfish, IDEA, and RC4 ciphers. Changes: Small bugfixes, and smaller binary packages.

About: Wireshark (formerly Ethereal) is a network protocol analyzer, or "packet sniffer", that lets you capture and interactively browse the contents of network frames. The goal of the project is to create a commercial-quality packet analyzer for Unix, and the most useful packet analyzer on any platform. Changes: A fix for the SMB decoder segfault bug and other protocol decoder updates, support for iptrace 1.0 (AIX3) files, etter support for NetMon 2.0 and WAN NAI Sniffer traces, ome GUI updates, and color-coded transmitted/received data in the TCP Follow window.
About: Jabber is a new, open-source IM platform designed to be open, fast, and easy to use and extend. It works directly over the Internet, has distributed servers, utilizes an XML-based protocol, and has transparent compatibility with other IM systems (ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, MSN, IRC, SMTP, etc). Changes: A complete rewrite, with full multi-threading and an updated XML protocol.
About: XDBM is a database designed specifically to handle XML data. It offers greater speed (since the data is stored in a preparsed format), lower memory usage (since only those parts of the file needed are loaded into memory) and faster searching for XML elements. XDBM can also parse and store plain text XML files. XDBM aims to be as close to the W3's DOM specification as possible. XDBM also comes with utilities for converting between XDBM file format and plain text and for reading XDBM files in less and emacs. Changes: A fix for a serious bug in the partition table handling, as well as performance enhancements in the parsing of text/xml and opening of database files; a callback function has also been added to xdbm_to_xml().
About: Xfce is an easy-to-use and easy-to-configure environment for X11 based on GTK2. A priority is adherence to standards, specifically those defined at freedesktop.org. Changes: Swedish and Danish translations, and a new Symbiose color palette.
About: Etherboot is a free software package for making boot ROMs for booting Linux and other operating systems on x86, Itanium, Hammer, and Hyperstone machines over a network using Internet protocols, namely DHCP and tftp. Changes: A fix for a bug in the bootp extension file handling introduced in 4.2.10, support for the Macronix 98715 (Tulip clone), and a small change to 3c90x.c to compile under FreeBSD.
About: jwhois is an Internet Whois client that contains an extensible configuration file, which defines its operation. The client supports queries to foreign hosts, either through the RFC 954 - NICNAME/WHOIS protocol, the RFC 2167 - Referral Whois 1.5 protocol, or HTTP using an external browser. Upon execution, it searches through its configuration to find the most specific whois server to query. Depending upon the reply from that whois server, it can assume the query was successfull and display the result to the user, or optionally redirect the query to another server to find more specific information. Changes: Support for redirecting a query to a second Whois server based on the results returned by the first, cache functionality to cache Whois documents on the local machine, and initial localization support.

About: Tsbiff will oversee your mailbox and notify you when new messages appears. Notification is done via a window that appears up on your desktop, with a snapshot of what the mailbox contains. Supports pop3, direct mailbox files, mime decoding, and filters (to avoid uninteresting notifications) Changes: A new filter for cc fields, an improved Mail parser, and redesigned and recoded Wakeup client/server classes as well as overall code cleanup.
About: LingoTeach is a language teaching program and library that use a session-based concept to teach languages from definable lesson files. It currently supports more than 16 languages, and sounds of native speakers for English, Spanish, and German exist. Changes: French localization, and new French and Japanese lessons.
About: IPWatch will reconfigure your machine after an IP change by reinitializing the hostname, restarting the system logging facilities to use the new hostname, restarting your firewall, and updating your dynamic hostname (it supports yi.org, homepc.org, justlinux.com, dhs.org, dyndns.org, and dyndns.com). It will also restart your network if your machine loses connectivity. In both cases, email is sent with a full log of everything that's been done (including your new IP address). Changes: An additional script to help with configuration and testing, and several bugfixes.
About: Black Penguin is an arcade style jump-on-cubes game. Use your cursor keys to make the penguin escape from the evil window that's menacing him and gather credits by collecting the items on the cubes. Black Penguin comes with 16 levels, runs under X11 with Qt and/or KDE, has rendered graphics, sound support is not implemented yet. Changes: A new user-configurable key assignment.
