About: p5-palm is a set of Perl modules for reading, manipulating, and writing Palm database files. The package includes a generic core component, as well as handlers for the built-in apps' databases. It is reasonably easy to extend the package to handle arbitrary database types. Changes: A better utility for viewing the contents of .pdb files, and some code cleanup.
About: Doxygen is a cross-platform, JavaDoc-like documentation system for C++, C, Objective-C, C#, Java, IDL, Python, PHP, VHDL, and Fortran. Doxygen can be used to generate an on-line class browser (in HTML) and/or an off-line reference manual (in LaTeX or RTF) from a set of source files. Doxygen can also be configured to extract the code-structure from undocumented source files. This includes dependency graphs, class diagrams and hyperlinked source code. This type of information can be very useful to quickly find your way in large source distributions. Changes: Fixes for a number of bugs and some new features (a GUI frontend for the config file and syntax highlighting for code fragments, among others).
About: PostgreSQL is a robust relational database system with more than 20 years of active development that runs on all major operating systems. It is fully ACID compliant, and has full support for foreign keys, joins, views, triggers, and stored procedures (in multiple languages). It includes most SQL92 and SQL99 data types, including INTEGER, NUMERIC, BOOLEAN, CHAR, VARCHAR, DATE, INTERVAL, and TIMESTAMP. It also supports storage of binary large objects, including pictures, sounds, or video. It has native programming interfaces for C/C++, Java, .Net, Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, and ODBC, among others, and exceptional documentation. Changes: Changes to the Buffer Manager and bugfixes.
About: MMC is an email client for GNOME that can read, retrieve, and send mail. It supports POP3, SMTP, and IMAP. Changes: Replying and message sorting, and small bugfixes.
About: ClimbLog is a Java application for writing down climbing routes in something like a diary. The entries are stored hierarchically, so it's easy to navigate and search through the tree. You can add comments for each entry or tally routes. The data is stored in XML format and can be exported to HTML. Changes: Search functionality and a toolbar, use of the author's Application Framework for a huge code cleanup, and the XML diary file contains the DOCTYPE-tag (for the DTD).
About: Sfront compiles MPEG 4 Structured Audio (MP4-SA) bitstreams into efficient C programs that generate audio when executed. MP4-SA is a standard for normative algorithmic sound, that combines an audio signal processing language (SAOL) with score languages (SASL, and the legacy MIDI File Format). Under Linux and Mac OS X, sfront supports real-time, low-latency audio input/output, local MIDI input from soundcards, and networked MIDI input using RTP and SIP. A SIP server hosted on the Berkeley campus manages sessions. The documentation includes a book about SAOL programming. Changes: Fixes to bugs in MIDI File handling, core opcode and wavetable libraries, and in the detection of recursive opcode calls, new additions including a rate-semantic printf statement, C pre-processor support for SAOL and SASL input files, and a chapter in the online MP4-SA book on SAOL debugging, and enhancements to MIDI real-time control, external audio input processing, and the BIFS standard name interface.
About: GTKExtra is a useful set of widgets for creating GUIs for the X Window System using GTK+. It is written in C and includes the following widgets: GtkSheet, GtkPlot, GtkPlotCanvas, GtkItemEntry, GtkComboBox, GtkColorCombo, GtkBorderCombo, GtkFontCombo, GtkDirTree, GtkIconList, GtkFileList, GtkIconFileSelection, and GtkCheckItem. Changes: Merging of GtkPlotLayout with GtkPlotCanvas, and rewrites of those and GtkIconList as GtkFixed subclass for greater speed. These changes allow the library to be compiled under Win32.
About: rp-pppoe is a PPPoE client and server suite for Linux. It is fully RFC-compliant and supports cookies, relay-IDs, and multiple simultaneous PPPoE discovery phases. It is cleanly coded and fairly efficient, and supports kernel-mode PPPoE on Linux 2.4 and 2.6. Changes: Fixes for demand-dialling, additional options to stop buggy access concentrators from negotiating header compression, and minor cleanups and documentation updates.
About: Postfix is an attempt to provide an alternative to the widely-used Sendmail program. Postfix attempts to be fast, easy to administer, and hopefully secure, while at the same time being sendmail compatible enough to not upset your users. Changes: The first snapshot in two months, reflecting quite a bit of change, including support for SMTP authentication (AUTH) and for delivery over LMTP.
About: Mutt is a small but very powerful text-based MIME mail client. It is highly configurable, and is well-suited to the mail power user with advanced features like key bindings, keyboard macros, mail threading, regular expression searches, and a powerful pattern matching language for selecting groups of messages.
About: Beepage is a Unix-based text paging package. Text pages sent by the client over TCP/IP are received by the provided server, which queues and transmits the data to any paging service providers that support the Telocator Alpha-numeric Protocol. Changes: First public release.
About: Sitescooper automatically retrieves the stories from news websites, trims off extraneous HTML, and converts them into Plucker, iSilo, or Palm DOC format for later reading on-the-move. It will avoid stories you've already read, and can handle virtually any news site on the Web. Support for over 300 sites is included. Even if you don't have a handheld, it's still handy for simple website-to-text conversion. Changes: Support for comics (needs registered iSilo viewer to view images), new .deb files, a fix for a bug which caused sitescooper not to get any sites under some setups, better builtin support for KPilot, JPilot, and gnome-pilot, and some new sites.
About: Xdialog is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the dialog and cdialog programs. It converts any terminal-based program into a program with an X interface. The dialogs are easier to see and use, and Xdialog adds more functionality such as a help button and box, a treeview, an editbox, file and directory selectors, a range box, and a calendar. It uses GTK+, and will match your desktop theme. Changes: Many code cleanups, new "--calendar" and "--timebox" options/widgets, new "--print", "--stdout" and "--stderr" options, a new auto-size feature (xdialog now also accepts "-geometry" like size specification, e.g. 200x100+20-0), textbox and editbox widgets now accepts stdin as their input file, automatic setting of the focus to the text entry in inputbox and editbox, and use of the "--no-buttons" transient option with the inputbox and the textbox.
About: Qpopper is a widely used server for the POP3 protocol. It includes TLS/SSL support, very fast start-up times, and reduced I/O at session close. This server is fully compliant with RFCs 1939 and 2449, and supports Kerberos V4, if enabled. Changes: Improved log entries for I/O errors on client input stream, and fixes for encode64/decode64 prototypes and a crash in popauth on OpenBSD.

About: TkUsr is a small program that allows you to manage the Self-mode of USR/3Com Message/Professional modems. You can use it to retrieve voice messages and faxes. It features smart retrieving with a cache system, so you do not have to download the whole memory when you only want a single fax. Changes: This release adds more error checking, new balloon help, and a little green icon for unreleased messages.
About: DBOX is a free communication package for ISPs. It supports a large number of message formats such as RFC/UUCP, ZConnect, Janus/Janus2, Alphabox, and GSbox. It is designed for large installations and includes a WWW package with an email/HTML gateway, an HTML online shop, support for POP3/IMAP4, and personal homepages with HTTP/FTP upload. Changes: Table support in the browser, a new asyncio library, an included imap4 daemon, an improved HTML-email-gateway, and lots of security fixes.
About: dkimap4 is a fast, easy-to-install IMAP4 daemon for UNIX and Win32 platforms. It supports mail folder quotas, ACL, UID+. Changes: First public release.
About: ftpcopy is a small mirror-like utility to copy files or directory trees with FTP. ftpcopy understands EPLF and traditional listing formats. Changes: Initial freshmeat announcement; portability enhancements, support for relative local paths, and some minor bugfixes.
About: LUCI, written in Python, is a Universal Configuration Interface. It provides a GTK+ interface to edit any configuration file. You just have to write a little text file to describe the configuration file you want to edit, and LUCI will do the job. Changes: A new utility has been added to automatically generate skeletons of description files, a documentation update has been made, and a new description file for Apache has been added.
About: libow is a start on an interface library for DalSemi's 1-wire hardware. It currently supports the DS2480 on a serial port (aka the DS9097U), and the DS1954 (aka the Crypto iButton or Java Ring). Changes: 1-wire overdrive support, API control over pullup duration, and support for multi-fragment response APDUs.
About: CAM Expert is a commercial version of QCad with CAM functionality. It was designed for creating NC programs for engraving and LASER cutting, but due to the very flexible configuration of the output format it can produce virtually any text based format. Changes: Initial freshmeat announcement.
About: bcnu is a Web-based system management tool which delivers information on the status of networked systems in a simple and easy-to-use manner. It uses a web browser to display information about hosts in a tabular form. Historical information can be held indefinitely, and there is a powerful query tool available to interrogate it. Client systems can run an agent which logs information back to a central system. An agent scheduler is integrated to allow agents to be run at different intervals. Standard agents include ftp, http, disk space, logfiles, processes, and more. Changes: The setup utility has been improved to make installation easier. The information display in the logs, vmgt, fs, and procs agents has been improved. Various new contributed agents and changes have been added. The C Sources have been tidied up with function prototypes, etc. Better customization options are now available. A daemon restart option has been added. Other minor bugfixes and cosmetic enhancements have been made.
About: Courier-IMAP is a lightweight server that provides IMAP access to maildir mailboxes. It supports folders, custom authentication modules, and virtual mailboxes. A compatible POP3 server is also provided. The source code is based on the IMAP module in the Courier Mail Server, but this build is independently repackaged to work with any other MTA that delivers to maildir format mailboxes. Changes: An option to install a persistent background authentication daemon process, minor fixes for gnus and mutt interoperability issues, and global shared folders.
About: Perl Webmail is a CGI/mod_perl application that interfaces with external POP3 and SMTP services. It provides all the expected functionality of a mail client, such as read, reply, forward, delete, as well as sending and receiving attachments, storage for mail folders, contacts, and calendar notes. Changes: crypt::blowfish support has been added to prevent the username and password from being passed via the form as plaintext that is viewable in the sourcecode of the HTML document. Incoming attachment support is now more refined and support for multiple attachments has been added.
About: utftpd is a tftpd replacement. Its features include a fine grained access control, giving you the possibility to assign the right to access a file or directory for every single client. It also supports version control (useful for your router configuration files). Changes: Previous versions didn't delete SCCS lock files in case of a failed put request. Trailing garbage bytes in requests are now ignored for compatibility with broken equipment.
About: QCad is a powerful but easy to use 2D CAD program for Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X. It uses DXF as its standard file format. While other CAD packages are often rather complicated to use, QCad tries to stay comfortable, and even an absolute beginner can create professional drawings with a minimum of effort. Changes: Support of several units, different formats for dimension labels (e.g. 3 1/4"), integrated part library browser, some measuring functions, improved layer handling, printing to scale, file preview in open box, new options dialog, input boxes can handle mathematical expressions, improved DXF compatibility, fully integrated HTML help system.
About: GSMLIB is a library to access GSM mobile phones through GSM modems. Features include: modification of phonebooks stored in the mobile phone or on the SIM card, reading and writing of SMS messages stored in the mobile phone, sending and reception of SMS messages. Additionally, some simple command line programs are provided to use these features. Changes: gsmlib now also works with TAs that can not switch off echo. The bug that prevented gsmlib from copying SMS_DELIVER and SMS_STATUS_REPORT back to the ME has been fixed. The -I (--init) parameter has been introduced to all command line apps to allow for device-specific initialization. The SMS decoding routines have been made more robust against bad SMS (especially premature end of PDU) New debugging feature: If compiled without NDEBUG, the environment variable GSMLIB_DEBUG determines the verbosity of debugging messages (0 = none, 1 = many, 2 = extreme)

For example, responses are automatically decoded into native C formats, and it is possible to launch many queries and once and deal with the responses asynchronously.
About: Libshout allows applications to easily communicate and broadcast to an Icecast streaming media server. It handles the socket connections, metadata communication, and data streaming for the calling application, and lets developers focus on feature sets instead of implementation details. Changes: Fixed the timing bug.
About: The Linux SMBus BIOS driver is an experimental device driver for Linux that implements SMBus BIOS support in the kernel. It was written primarily for utility programs to query information and the status of a Smart Battery. This driver is distributed in the form of a kernel patch. Changes: Fixed broken BIOS status handling. Removed the broken config option to build as a kernel module.
About: whatpix is a Perl console application which finds (and optionally moves or deletes) duplicate files. Changes: Added SHA1 algoritm. Removed need for md5sum binary, but now requires Digest::SHA1 and Digest::MD5 from CPAN to function properly.

About: Jetty is an Open Source HTTP Servlet Server written in Java. It is a full featured HTTP/1.1 server and a Servlet container. It is designed to be small, fast, embeddable and extensible. It supports HTTP/1.1, servlets 2.3, and JSP 1.2. Changes: This release fixes a few issues working with IE5, including improved handling of output end game, a fix for a double chunking bug in SocketListener, and making the file handler check modified headers on directory indexes. The ServletLoader now works on Windows file systems.
