About: RotNN.py is a python module that allows the user to do rotational encryption and de-encryption to obfuscate text. The default functionality is the same as rot13, however you can rotate the text any amount you wish: 15, 21, 4... (Hence the NN.) RotNN also includes two functions, srotate and wrotate, which operate on the entire (UNIX, at least) printable character set. They utilize rotation also, only on more than just A-Z and a-z. Changes: This release makes no changes to rotnn's functionality; it merely includes rotnn_test_script.py, which does lots of keen file and interactive rotational stuff.
About: A C++ based API for 3D visualization or game projects. Contains support for 3d primitives, lighting, scene management, collision-detection, 3d file importers and many other features. About: Bidwatcher is a tool for eBay users that tracks your current bids and listings and has an integrated snipe tool. You can run bidwatcher in the background and it periodically checks your auctions status, and executes any bids that are scheduled. Changes: This is mostly a bug fix release. Some of the bugs are important. The code to sync the time with eBay had a serious problem that could leave your clock way off and cause your snipes to be late. Another bug would cause bidwatcher to hang on some Redhat systems. Bidwatcher will now dynamically monitor the network lag and adjust your snipe times accordingly. Quite a few other minor bugs were also fixed.
About: GeneWeb is a system for people who want to publish their genealogy data on the Web. It can also be used locally (not connected on the net) as a normal genealogy program. It uses very efficient techniques of relationship and consanguinity computing, speaks several languages, and can run in conjunction with an existing Web server (CGI) or standalone using its own internal server.
About: RabbIt is a mutating, caching Web proxy used to speed up surfing over slow links like modems. It does this by removing advertising and background images and scaling down images to low quality JPEGs. RabbIT is written in Java and should be able to run on any platform. It does depend upon an image converter if image scaleing is on. The recommended image converter is "convert" from the ImageMagick package. Changes: This release fixes simple (no proxy chaining but otherwise working) SSL proxy handling. SSL proxying is configurable to allow connects to all ports, no ports, or a specified set of ports (like 443 and 444). Support has been added for cache handlers; they work like the ordinary handlers but are run only on resources that are fetched from the cache. This means that it is simple to write your own imagehandler that takes an unmodified image from the cache and sends it filtered by the request made. This is nice to have, but always uses more resources.
About: gamp is an ncurses-based console MP3 frontend for any sajber-jukebox compatible player, including mpg123 and amp. gamp was written to have most of the functionality of other X-based MP3 players. Changes: A fix for automatically deleting sent attachments from the hard disk, and more.
About: dsproxy emulates an OSS device that "virtualizes" itself so each UID that opens /dev/dsp gets its own private sound device. At this point, simultaneous reading of /dev/dsp by another process "samples" the data out of dsproxy. The tagged audio data and ioctls stream may be saved to disk locally as the example program does, retargeted over a network, pushed into an effects generator (3-D sound), etc. The virtualization feature is a stepping stone to adding sound to VNC on a per-desktop basis with each user appearing to have total control over /dev/dsp. Most OSS ioctls are implemented, so applications such as xmame and rvplayer7 may be retargeted through dsproxy. Changes: Initial release.

About: Big Brother is a combination of monitoring methods. Unlike SNMP where information is just collected and devices polled, Big Brother is designed in such a way that each local system broadcasts its own information to a central location. Simultaneously, Big Brother also polls all networked systems from a central location. This creates a highly efficient and redundant method for proactive network monitoring. Changes: Parallelized network tests, a clear result from the local test instead of purple for dialup hosts when the log expires, testing of dialup hosts only once for connectivity, fixes for duplicate offline/online messages and a touchtime bug on Alpha Linux, an optional text message in disable request, and adjusting sleep interval to script run time.
