LEAP is a free RDBMS (Relational Database Management System) It is used as an educational tool around the world to aid students, researchers and teachers as they learn or teach database theory. LEAP is in active development by the author.

Recent releases


Changes: This release contains a minor feature change to the update tuple operator to re-use space. The examples have been completely revised to tie in with the recently released book featuring a chapter on LEAP: "Theory and Practice of Relational Databases."


Changes: A bugfix to the regular expression handler.


Changes: This is mainly a set of bug fixes, primarily relating to problems compiling on RH6/AIX. There are general fixes included too.


Changes: Improved maintenance of system relations, new operators, updated documentation, bug fixes, Windows 95/NT GUI now also available.
