Changes: Major bugfixes and new enhanced documentation, including a quick start guide.

Changes: Release candidate for the next development version.

Changes: This major release includes many new features, a rewritten canvas and text layout engine, and a complete port to QT 4. Almost 1000 bugs and feature requests were resolved. Performance and stability are dramatically improved on Mac OS X. The minimum Qt version supported is Qt 4.4.0, so installation it on older Linux distributions may be difficult. In addition, users should be warned that 1.3.3.x cannot open 1.3.5 files. Users are recommended to only use backups or duplicate copies when opening older version files with 1.3.5.

Changes: Several fixes and improvements to gradients and PDF export, translation and documentation updates, and improvements to the Scripter to enable more features. A 450-page printed Official Scribus Manual for Scribus 1.3.3.x is now available for order, and is the most complete documentation of Scribus' many features so far.

Changes: * Several fixes and improvements to text frames and the Story Editor. * Some additional scripts have been added to enhance functionality. * More translation and documentation updates. * Several fixes to protect against possible crashes. * Improvements to the Scripter to enable more features.

Excellent software
I'm using it for a 14-daily magazin with 60+ pages and together with the Python scripting, Scribus just rocks.
Sure, it needs some improvements, but the words about the upcoming 1.3 are promising and the developers are very active and open for patches and feature requests.
