Aigaion is a Web-based shared bibliography manager built on PHP/MySQL. It is based on the BibTeX format, but has support for other formats as well. Some of its key features are extensive support for organizing a bibliography in a topic structure, personal and public annotations on each publication, multi-user support, easy import/export, and an intuitive user interface.

Changes: This release can export publications via email. It has major improvements in the BibTeX import facilities, new handling of BibTeX special characters allowing many new characters and making it very simple to add new characters in the future, an improved and more stable login module, and advanced search capabilities.

Changes: Publication edit problems when changing publication type were fixed. Install and migration scripts were created for easy setup and migration from older versions. Several UI inconsistencies were corrected.


Changes: The entire code was rewritten and now relies on an MVC framework (Code Igniter). The most important changes: Access levels (public, intern, private) are customizable for publications, topics, notes, and attachments. The import and export code was improved. User group management was added. Support for guest users was improved. Modules were added for integrating login management with other systems such as wiki or CMS systems. Persistent bookmark lists were added. Topic assignment for publications were improved. Update management was improved. Flexible sort options were added for publication list display.


Changes: A remote SQL injection vulnerability issue was fixed.
A pure Python module that aids in the construction, analysis, and modification of binary data.
