aiSee
aiSee reads a textual, easy-to-read, and easy-to-learn graph specification and automatically calculates a customizable graph layout. This layout is then displayed, and can be printed or interactively explored. aiSee features 15 basic graph layout algorithms (including force-directed layout), recursive subgraph nesting, fish-eye views, and an animation interface. It has been optimized to handle huge graphs automatically generated by applications (e.g. compilers).

Changes: This release features an all-new, state-of-the-art Qt user interface, improved layout algorithms, support for antialiasing, UTF-8 support, export of graphs to PDF, communication with other applications via TCP, and simplified command-line options. It also supports the latest GDL attributes such as new node shapes, node decorations, href attributes, custom hex colors, etc. The free package is no longer limited to a fixed-term, even for unregistered users.

Changes: This release features an all-new, native Mac OS X user interface with Spotlight integration, UTF-8 support, support for antialiasing, custom TTF fonts, and export of graphs to TIFF and PDF. It also features improved layout algorithms and supports the latest GDL attributes. The package is a universal binary for Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, with unlimited usage period (even without a license key).

Changes: This release fixes several PNG image mapping bugs. Exporting of graphs to SVG has been improved; the output SVG files are now smaller. Exporting of edges to bitmap formats has been improved. Several GUI bugs have been fixed.

Changes: This release supports exporting a very simple, ASCII-format list of all nodes and edges of a graph along with their coordinates. When exporting graphs containing bitmap icons to SVG, it offers the option of embedding the icons in the output SVG file rather that just referencing them by their paths. Minor performance and usability improvements have been made. Numerous bugs have been fixed.

Changes: This release features support for composite edge arrows: most edge arrow styles can now be concatenated to create custom arrow styles. Export of splines and circles to PNG and BMP has been improved. Several bugs have been fixed.
