Changes: There are bugfixes, transparent support of ICQ Lite and ICQ2go client encodings, better remote client identification for ICQ Lite, ICQ2Go, and Sim, and some usability improvements.

Changes: This version features a large code cleanup of the ICQ protocol library to gain more functionality in less code. There is now implicit Unicode usage when sending messages to unicode-capable clients. There is automatic recovery from protocol handling errors, and automated sending of bug reports to the author. It now sends keepalive and ping packets.

Changes: The format of the startup file was changed. A new modules infrastructure, based on properties and metadata, allows independent modules to be created more easily, and add new transports. Alicq can now save changes in the startup file. Subgroups (groups within other groups) are now supported. Membership in several groups is now possible. Multicast messages to groups can now be sent. The state of groups (open or closed) is now saved on exit. The transport encoding can be specified for each contact other than the global one. A setup wizard was added. A configuration panel was added.

Changes: This release adds a lot of bugfixes, a -config commandline option to allow specifying the startup file, geometry.tcl to save positions and sizes of windows, and tomail.tcl to forward ICQ messages to email.

Changes: Support for handling visible/invisible lists, searching in the Whitepages, updating personal info, viewing contact info, and changing your ICQ password.
