alived is a simple daemon and client for sending keepalive messages. The server keeps a list of hostname to IP address, useful for when a remote DHCP client changes IP addresses.

Changes: This release now does proper GNU-style command lines.


Changes: alived now maintains the 'last heard from' time. alive only runs once and exits; please add it to a startup script and/or a cron job. alookup's output was cleaned up, and the last-heard-from time was added.

It will always be running the latest daemon, so you're best off grabbing the latest client from http://sourceforge.net/projects/alived
