Ari's Yahoo Client
Ari's Yahoo Client is a compact, easy-to-use, text-based client for Yahoo! Messenger, based on yahoolib as distributed with GTKYahoo. Ari's Yahoo Client supports displaying your buddy list with the status of each person on it, displaying incoming messages from any Yahoo! ID, and sending messages to any Yahoo! ID (whether or not it is on your buddy list).

Changes: This is an update of the 1.4 version (the last version released prior to the change to a curses-based interface) to use the newest libyahoo from GTKYahoo's CVS repository, as Ari's Yahoo Client 1.8 does. In the future, Curses-based versions will be numbered 1.x (x > 4) and non-curses-based versions will be numbered 1.4.x.

Changes: Ari's Yahoo clients works once again. It uses new libyahoo setup from GTKYahoo and a quick fix to the yahoolib configure.in file due to the lack of need for GTK. Custom status messages have been added. Several usability fixes, including a reported bug relating to pasting text into the program when it is running in an xterm were also added.

The correct version is 1.3 for the latest update. Not a big deal, but just so you know that I /do/ in fact update the version number with each upgrade and not between them. (I'm a lazy update-poster, it seems. ;)
