Application Version Management (avm) allows you to have multiple versions of the same application available on one system, or via NFS. It is mainly a bash/bourne shell function, which uses a centralised configuration file (avm.conf) to define the location of the app, and the default version (which can be overridden). The only restriction is that the directory scheme must follow the avm standard. Basic installation and usage documention is available.

Changes: This release has support for dependencies, although just for the top tier avm package at present. You can define whether a package depends upon one or more other packages, and these will be automatically initialized when you Load the package. This is useful if the package has a lot of dependencies upon other avm packages.

Changes: This release includes many changes to the Load shell function, as well as the addition of various management scripts and package tree creation scripts.

Changes: There are minor bugfixes in start.sh/bash, and general cleanup. A new avm-version script has been added to make version identification easier.
