Adaptive Website Framework - Stable branch
Section: Unix

Added: Sun, Jun 17th 2001 17:17 PDT (6 years, 11 months ago) Updated: Sun, Jul 2nd 2006 12:13 PDT (1 year, 10 months ago)

Screenshot About:
Adaptive Website Framework (AWF) is a modern content management system and development framework. Most of its code is object-oriented and very easy to extend. It features support for multiple Web sites and languages, content versioning, caching, community portal functions (online list, forums, instant messages, newsletters, weblogs, wiki, etc.), image upload and galleries, a lexicon, a modular full-text search engine, an auto repair function for database tables, XML and PDF export, and RSS and LDAP support. Changes can be made on a preview site and published at a later time on the live site. Fully flexible URLs allow the replacement of existing static Web sites.

[»] Just a great tool
by Frank - Feb 28th 2007 09:37:22

Because I'm still using this great framework on some of my sites, I just want to praise the developer here with this comment. Although the cms is quite old, it is still a pleasure to work with it.

[»] AWF 1
by grx - Nov 9th 2005 06:05:27

Hi, i still build all of my Websites with AWF 1 and made some own modules. Examples of the sites are www.Grellimedia.de and www.sparanleitung.de. It would be nice to find some other webmasters whom also work with AWF 1 and has some own modules which they would divide with other.

[»] Using awf from liquidbytes
by Rhys - Aug 10th 2001 20:54:53

This project appears brilliant, in that it uses cache and module includes to make pages on the fly. It appears to produce lean fast code that will do exactly what i need.<br>
The problem for me is that there is no English documentation, and I can't figure out how to get into the backend interface to add/delete things within the modules. Looking at the .inc codes shows me that things exist there, (E.G. Register New User), but I don't see a way to activate it.
Help please - :-))

The documentation is "almost translated" in the current development version. I still have some questions but it really is looking good.
