BasiliX is a webmail application based on PHP and IMAP, and powered with the MySQL database server. It supports simple mail actions, sending/receiving attachments, an addressbook with group capability, settings utility, multiple languages, multiple folders and themes.

Recent releases


Changes: Fixes and minor enhancements were made to the message search feature. Some security fixes were made, particularly with attatchments. A problem with some IMAP servers has been fixed. Messages can now be moved to other folders from the read message window. Listing all domains at the logon screen is now optional. Additional languages have been added and missing messages are now handled by substituting with the equivalent in English rather than being left blank.


Changes: The addressbook feature was improved, and a draft mechanism is now integrated into the system. The attachment procedure when composing a new mail is now more stable. Minor bugfixes were made, and a few improvements and additions were implemented.


Changes: Major security problems were fixed, and some improvements were made.


Changes: This release includes major rewrites to most of the package.


Changes: It has been ported to WAP (Wireless Application Protocol), and a couple of bugs have been fixed.
