About:
bdump is a is a binary dump program to display a
file in hex and ASCII format. It is executed from
the command line and, unlike od, can display hex
and ASCII side-by-side, and has a huge number of
display options. It also includes bdumpr, a reverse utility which can convert the output of bdump back into a binary, effectively allowing binary files to be edited.
