BlackRoute

black|route is a Slackware-based security and forensics analysis distribution for x86-compatible architectures. The goal of the project is to create a GNU/Linux distribution for advance users, texttool enthusiasts, network and security specialists, and system administrators.

Changes: iSCSI Target/Initiator, DRBD, ATA over Ethernet, usb2ip, ksb26, and streamline were added. Hardware detection was improved for sound, Web cams, network, and wireless drivers. More FUSE implementations were added. NDIS wrapper, madWiFi, and XAMPP were updated. Many security and bug fixes have been made.

Changes: This release is mature enough for a first release candidate. The 2.6 kernel series is supported exclusively. The system was fine-tuned to get the most out of it. It includes Linux kernel 2.6.20.11 with NDIS wrapper 1.44, madWiFi, truecrypt, kqemu, and more than 10 implementations of FUSE. Read/write mode is default for NTFS partitions. The hardware detection system was improved.
