BRLTTY is a daemon which provides access to the Linux console (when in text mode) for a blind person using a refreshable braille display. It drives the braille display, and provides complete screen review functionality. Some speech capability has also been incorporated.

Changes: ALVA Satellite 544 support was added. Baum Vario support was updated, as well as the TSI and MDV driver. Fixes were made for problems with 2.4.0test* kernels and various other problems.


Changes: The EcoBraille, EuroBraille, and MDV drivers were updated. An option was added to skip directly to next/prev line on FWINRT/LT when the rest of the line is blank. An ExternalSpeech speech driver was added for sending speech to an external program. Support was added for speech tracking (for synths that provide word indexing) as well as some attribute tracking tuning.


Changes: Improved readibility in config menu as well as support for EcoBraille displays, Alva Delphi, Alva parallel port communication and BrailleLite 18.
