cal3d

Cal3d is a skeletal-based 3D character animation library written in C++ in a platform-/graphic-API independent way. Originally designed to be used in a 3D client for Worldforge, it evolved into a stand-alone product which can be used in many different kinds of projects.

Changes: The licensed was changed to the LGPL (GNU Lesser General Public License). A detailed User's Guide and a full API reference are available. An experimental cloth/hair animation system was implemented. The 3ds max exporter now fully supports max4 features and was enhanced in many other ways. The Cally Demo and the MiniViewer tool demonstrate the new features with the help of OpenGL.

Changes: New features include progressive meshes for LOD, a unified exporter framework, flexible material handling, user-data fields, and a much nicer rendering API. The Cally Demo and the new model viewer tool show the new features with the help of OpenGL.
