CD Shell

CD Shell is a scriptable menu system that provides the ability to create interactive multi-boot optical discs. It will make PC-bootable compact discs or DVDs that can select from several program loaders or kernels located on the disc, or boot from other local disk drives that are attached to the system.

Changes: Minor bugs in the print command, chooser script, and isolinux module were fixed. A small behavior change was made when using isolinux with a splash screen (isolinux display command).

Changes: This release fixes numerous bugs in the Diskemu module, and many other random bugs. The following new and/or improved features have been added: an updated isolinux module (version 3.07), a new command (return here), the ability to boot Acronis ISO images using Diskemu, support for ISO level 4 (9660:1999) file systems, and a new script called the Chooser.

Changes: Applied a workaround for buggy BIOSes.

Changes: This release adds mouse support, password support (MD5 encryption), loadable LILO keymaps, diskemu updates (multiple floppy and noboot mode), reverse/selective input parsing, updated/new interface modules for ISOLinux (memdisk), Ranish Partition Manager, Memtest86+, the ability to neatly pack all files into an ISO, and lots and lots of bugfixes.

Changes: The isolinux module was updated to version 2.11, a function for calculating the length of a string was added, some syntax highlighting definition files were added to the /tools folder, and various bugfixes were made.

Hi John,
You can use extended characters by just typing them into your script file. You may need to copy and paste them from another source if you aren't able to type them. If you have more questions, please send them in an email to bscript@freelists.org.
