closedShop - Open Source Shopping attempts to provide an easy to set up, manage, and utilize shopping cart. Based on Perl and MySQL, its aim will be to provide all the features a commercial shopping cart offers at no cost.

Changes: Attributes can now have extra costs. You can add multiple "versions" of the same item to the shopping cart (with different attributes). If an item has attributes, you can't automatically add it to the cart (but must select attributes first). You can control the number of attributes and the number of attribute options from the administration panel.


Changes: CCV2 code storing was added. Changing email flags for sendmail is now allowed. An affiliates/sales commissions module was added. Cosmetic changes were made with style sheets. Quantities and stock tracking was updated and works better now. Security against cookie attacks was improved. Images can be externally linked or removed from another Web page. The readme and documentation files were updated. The admin login page was changed to show statistics and inventory levels. The state list may now be removed (for non-US use). The country list may now be restricted to a specific country. A cash on delivery option was added. Various bugfixes were made. Installation is easier and more robust.


Changes: New features include sales reporting for the Administrator, the ability to update quantities in the shopping cart, exporting data for the Administrator, better item picture display, and templates for all categories. There are bugfixes in cart updating and deleting, inventory tracking, and product editing.


Changes: This release adds multiple language support, eBay integration, order tracking, inventory tracking, more secure server options, item and category templates, help guide for common errors, and more error checking during installation and upgrade.


Changes: This release now saves the IP address for each order, adds PayPal support for orders, moves category data into a MySQL database, removes category dependency on name, adds a final message customization for after an order is completed, adds sub-categories support, and adds MySQL data backup, a fax field, and a text area for the address.
