Changes: gettext is now used as the translation system. All character set issues in the binary distributions should be fixed. Transport integration was improved. Simplified Chinese and Portuguese translations were added.

Changes: Major visual improvements were introduced, including the Oxygen icon theme and the new control panel with slots in the main window. Other highlights include a slot in which to search for people, improved integration of User Mood and User Activity, faster application startup, the ability to edit and create profiles in the login window, and experimental support for chat styles using Tkhtml3.

Changes: This release contains a number of minor fixes, making the client even more pleasant. Along with a number of bugfixes, it includes an improved user interface with cleaner registration dialogs, undo/redo of text, close page buttons in tabs, collapsible tool bars (Mac), chasing arrows while waiting for something (Mac), and much more.

Changes: This release lets Coccinella run under Tcl/Tk 8.5, which results in a number of advantages. Not all of them are used this time, since compatiblity with Tcl/Tk 8.4 will be kept over one release cycle. A large number of bugs have also been fixed. The Mac OS X version is now built as a Universal binary, which causes a tremendous speedup on Intel Macs. The Mac version was particularly improved from the 8.5 update and now displays all Unicode characters. However, not all types of packages are available for this release.

Changes: This is mainly a bugfix release with one critical one: the whiteboard text tool.
