Security Management and Risk Tracking (SMART) is a Web-based application to manage an information security program. This is a comprehensive solution that enables a corporation to manage an information security policy, information security policy exception handling, security certification and accreditation (SC&A), third party connection management, asset and vendor management, and issue tracking for different types of projects like security audit, pen testing, SOX, and so on.

Changes: This maintenance release fixes a few bugs. It also enables sharing of contacts across all users of the system.


Changes: Minor bugfixes related to standard Issues addition.


Changes: A number of minor changes have been made to the user interface, and some usability-related issues have been fixed. A DVD with a pre-installed VmWare appliance is available for purchase online. The support model is now more clear and easy to understand.


Changes: PDF password protection enables a user to password protect PDF file using RC4 encryption. The user has the option to chose whether a file has to be password protected or not. Downloading issues related to a project in the CSV (Microsoft Excel, comma separated) format has been added.


Changes: A number of changes have been made to the database schema to support current and new features. These include PDF reports, WYSIWYG editing using TinyMCE, an improved and more consistent user interface, an implementation of a standard risk management processes, and combined user manuals for easy understanding. There is some code cleanup.
