About:
Critical Mass (Critter) is an SDL/OpenGL space
shoot'em up game. Your world has been infested by
an aggressive army of space critters. Overrun and
unprepared, your government was unable to defend
its precious resources. As a last effort to
recapture some of the 'goodies', you have been
placed into a tiny spacecraft and sent after them.

Fantastic

This is a very good game, and incredibly addictive too.
If you were a fan of the many vertically scrolling
shooter arcade games released through the mid-1980s
through the 1990s, this is definitely worth a look.

Citical Mass

This game would be cool if i could get it to work right. Built it on
Slack8 and the mouse gets lagged badly even after editing the mouse
sensitivity.

Try setting the mouse smoothing to 0.

That did nothing to fix it

Mmmh, once mouse smoothing is set to 0, mouse motion events are unfiltered.
How many frames per second are you getting? Maybe critter is picking up
Mesa and is rendering via software that would make things feel laggy. run
'ldd critter' and make sure it picks up the proper libGL.
If your are getting > 50 fps with mouse smoothing set to 0 and the proper
GL libs and it still feels laggy, send me your .critter file, the output of
critter (i.e. critter > dump.txt), and your system specs.
