Cutlass

Cutlass is a cross-platform system for secure peer to peer communication, oriented towards small groups. It provides VoIP, IM and file transfer. A major design goal is to be easy to use, even by non-security conscious users.

Changes: Directory server capability has been added to the library, although not well integrated into the clients yet. To support the directory servers, the transport layer has been modified to support request-response transactions. This breaks backwards compatibility. A new test suite has been added. Multiple bugfixes and a rewrite of the transport code have been added.

Changes: Various improvements to the VoIP subsystem have been made which should improve reliability and sound quality. A bug in handling reconnections from the same user has been fixed. Several build and installation bugs have also been resolved, as have a number of problems in the GTK interface.

Changes: There are a large number of bugfixes and new features in this release. Most notably, users can now talk to each other using Speex compressed voice transmissions. The GUI and console interfaces have both been improved, and there are a number of new APIs available for UI developers.

Changes: This is a change to the libcutlass API, as well as several large bugfixes and enhancements to the transport code. The crypto is now actually functional as opposed to cosmetic.
