Debian-builder is a Perl script that can be used to rebuild any Debian package from source. It correctly handles downloading any required dependencies and cleans up after itself.

Changes: This release is focused on stability and correctness. The handling of package installation has been greatly improved, so that after a rebuild any packages installed are automatically removed. The code was refactored and the man page was updated.


Changes: The handling of build dependencies is now much improved, allowing a greater number of Debian packages, including complex ones such as GNU Emacs and Mozilla Firefox.


Changes: This release features the inclusion of a helper script to build a package recursively, meaning the package and all the packages it relies upon. Diagnostic output was also improved, and the ability to change the version marker appended to the produced packages from the default of "ssp" was added.


Changes: This release is now capable of rebuilding the entire "base" distribution of Debian unstable, via an included helper script. Several minor bugs were fixed relating to versioned dependencies, and the documentation was tightened up.
