debian-updates is a simple script that sends an email or displays console messages if any relevant Debian security updates become available. It is ideal for running from cron.

Changes: This release improves the handling of reporting available security fixes. It does this by matching both on the Debian source package names and the binary packages that were built from them. To keep up with the Debian project's security advisories, this release also handles advisories numbered above 1000.
