DeLi Linux is a Linux distribution for old computers, from 486 to Pentium MMX 166 or so. It's focused on desktop usage. It includes email clients, a graphical Web browser, an office package with word processor and spreadsheet, etc. A full installation, including Xorg and development tools, needs no more than 300 MB of hard disk space.

Recent releases


Changes: UTF-8 is now used as the default encoding. GTK1 was dropped in favor of GTK2 (2.10). The pacman package manager is now used. Netsurf and Skipstone were included as Web browsers. Abiword 2.4.6 with the ODT plugin and Gnumeric 1.6.3 were included as office applications.


Changes: Konqueror/Embedded has been added as the new default Web browser. The pdq print system has been added. This release has been upgraded to XOrg 7.2 and Linux kernel 2.4.34.4.


Changes: Support for Microchannel (PS/2 machines) and EISA was added. A tool for downloading and installing packages was added. New packages are now available, including Abiword 1.0.7, fox, xfe, and xmms. Many bugfixes were made.


Changes: This release is a complete rewrite from scratch. DeLi Linux is now based on uClibc. Linux 2.4.33.3, XOrg 7.1, and a ports system are included.


Changes: uClibc was upgraded to 0.9.28. dillo-i18n, a patched version of dillo with tabs, is used. Xorg-server was upgraded to 7.0. Many new applications were added, such as guiftp, Ted (a word processor), and ayttm (a chat and IM program).
