DeVeDe is a program to create video DVDs (compatible with home players) from nearly any video format. It only uses Python, MPlayer, Mencoder, DVDAuthor, VCDImager, and mkisofs, so it has very few dependencies.

Changes: The "Save as..." option now works. The Title properties window closed when the user changes the action to do when the title ends; this has been fixed. When the $HOME/.spumux directory didn't exist, DeVeDe was unable to find the font for subtitles; this has been fixed. The TTF-DEJAVU-CORE package has been added to the deb dependencies.


Changes: This release fixes the Greek translation. It doesn't fail when LANG is not defined. Migration from LibGLADE to GtkBuilder.


Changes: File names with may now contain the characters <, >, &, ", and '. When the user selects a directory in the menu, the preview is removed, to avoid a bug. When the output directory already exists, the user is now asked before deleting it. A disc type selection window was added.


Changes: This release recovers the menu options when loading a disc structure. The appearance has been changed to add more eye candy. This release shows the menu's NTSC preview at the right size. It shows the menu's title typography. It adds compatibility with GenISOimage. It has better code to avoid antialiasing when creating the menu entries. It limits the number of files to 61 to avoid problems with DVDAuthor.


Changes: Official Debian packages. The limit of 12 titles is gone; now you can create discs with up to 90 titles and/or 90 files. You can add a title to the menu and shadows to the menu texts. You can place the menu text to the right, left, or center. YADIF deinterlace filter support. Contextual help. Support for a resolution of 160x128 pixels in DivX. Now, when creating a PAL disk from a 24 FPS source, DeVeDe speeds it up instead of adding one frame per 24, obtaining a more fluid animation.
