The purpose of disktype is to detect the content format of a disk or disk image. It knows about common file systems, partition tables, and boot codes.

Changes: Support was added for EFI GPT partition tables, Linux cloop, and various boot loaders. Various Amiga and miscellaneous improvements were made.


Changes: This release adds support for Reiser4, the Xbox DVD file system, and Linux LVM 2.


Changes: Veritas VxFS, 3DO CD-ROM, and Sega Dreamcast signatures were added, and the HFS+ detection was improved.


Changes: Support was added for UDF and Solaris disklabels (both SPARC and x86). Size readouts now follow a common scheme and use the prefixes for binary multiples as defined by IEC.
