DVDripTools is a collection of scripts that operate DVD ripping tools. It consists of ripdvd, which creates an MKV, OGM, or MP4 file container very easily; ripdvdcrop, which detects the cropping to use when ripping a DVD; and ripdvdtest, which performs a ripping test of a few seconds.

Changes: FPPdvdmkv is now deprecated, and ripdvd is used instead. The license was switched to the GPLv3. Seeking is started at 10 seconds for ubiquity. mkv language merge was fixed. An svn repository is now used. Multiple container formats are supported. A new installer was added. Cropping is detected automatically. Logs were improved. Multiple audio languages are supported.

Changes: This release is a complete rewrite with extensive usage of functions. An interactive menu has been added. There are major fixes and updated documentation. Crop detect and single chapter DVD rip test have been integrated. The project is now part of the DVDripTools. An install script is included, as well as a dependencies check for Debian-based machines, Gentoo Mandriva, OS X fink, and OS X Darwin ports.

Changes: If no argument is provided, the script will perform a standard rip from /dev/dvd at 1100Kb/sec with the output file dvdout.mkv. A [-help] option has been added.
