Changes: Numerous bugfixes and enhancements. All users are urged to upgrade as soon as possible.


Changes: This release fixes blkid's test programs, an ia64 core dump, the com_err library, messages, Mke2fs and badblocks, and a portability problem in the filefrag program. Mke2fs will now use a larger journal by default for filesystems greater than 4GB. Mke2fs will refuse to create filesystems greater than 2**31-1 blocks, unless forced. The blkid program has a new option,


Changes: e2fsck has a new -k option. Many bugs were fixed, including several potential crashes and some invalid fixes to files in uncommon situations (no lost+found when reconnecting a directory, and journal replay with alt superblock). There are several fixes to journal inode location and superblock backups, bad-blocks, and indirect block corruption handling. This release works again on FreeBSD and has fixes for Darwin.
