Changes: This version adds shortcuts to the Desktop, Documents, Download, and Music directories. The process for saving multiples files was improved when an error occurs. Handling of the CDDB track list, problems with displaying pictures, and several crashes were fixed. The French, German, Polish, Swedish, and Japanese languages were updated.

Changes: This release disables the lack of synchronization when writing ID3v2.4 tags, to avoid a problem with pictures in applications using Taglib. The detection of Roman numerals when using the "Process Fields" scanner was improved. A compilation problem with a previous version of FLAC 1.1.3 was also fixed. The displaying of hidden directories and a problem when renaming several directories and files with the "Rename File and Directory" scanner were fixed. The French, German, Swedish, Polish, and Brazilian Portuguese translations were updated.

Changes: This release adds support for pictures in the tags of Ogg Vorbis files, Spexx files, and FLAC files. All tag values are visible directly in the main file list. The compilation problem with mpeg4ip-1.6, the displaying of dates with Japanese languages, and the reading of tags with the Turkish language were fixed. The detection of Roman numerals when using the "Process Fields" scanner was fixed. A new Chinese (Taiman) translation was added. The French, German, Chinese (Simplified), and Hungarian translations were updated.

Changes: This release improves the conversion in the "Process Fields" scanner to replace a string to another one and to uppercase Roman numerals. The number of lines in the log view can be limited to avoid slowing down the program when handling a lot of files. A problem with the "Encoded by" field in ID3v2.4 tags and various bugs in the cddb wibdow and the browser window were fixed. A new Serbiane translation was added. The French, Czech, German, Polish, and Swedish translations were updated.

Changes: This release adds autoscroll in log view and the ability to change the modification time of the parent directory of a file when updating a tag (which is useful with Amarok). A problem with displaying the title in the cddb window and a mistake in the configure script were fixed. Swedish documentation was added. The French, German, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Swedish translations were updated.

It would be handy if there would also be a mask variable (like %a, %b) for the current filename, so you could rename from:
songname.mp3
to:
Bandname - songname.mp3
... by using a mask like "Bandname - %f", skipping mp3 tags.
Very nice program, by the way. It really helps me to organise my music collection.

Ha, I know what you mean. :)
But it's hallucinating in an authistic way, Retagging with loud music on.
Easytag is a great tool, a real timesaver, A music collectors must.
Rules
Recently I decided to update my mp3 collection of roughly 4000+ mp3s, 96% of which did not have tags. I was able to apply tags to roughly 2/3 of my collection in two relatively long evenings, a process I was figuring on taking weeks without some sort of tool. I realize this sounds like marketing speak or an ad, but is a true testimonial. Unfortunately the last 1/3 is a real mess...
