EIRC is an RFC 1459 compliant client program written entirely in Java using only version 1.1.x Java API, for compliance with current mainstream web browsers, without the need to download the Swing classes. It can be run also as an application (outside Applet context).

Changes: This version includes assorted changes taken from the CVS tree, so is not for the faint of heart, but should be quite stable.

Changes: Lots of internal and user-visible changes. Please read the documentation carefully, because a few things have changed; notably the APPLET tag in the index file needs a small change.
