Ekee is an equation editor that produces images interactively from LaTeX expressions. Drag and drop in several common formats (PNG, SVG, PDF, EPS) to other applications is supported. Ekee can reopen the equations it has created in PNG format.

Recent releases


Changes: Eqe was completely rewritten. It now sports a Qt4 interface, improved drag and drop facilities, and the capacity to reopen equations it has created. It was also renamed to Ekee.


Changes: The interface was polished. Keyboard shortcuts were added. Startup time was improved. A bug in the management of temporary files was fixed.


Changes: The LaTeX template can now be customised easily. The code has been cleaned up and the documentation enhanced.

Changes: Eqe will now search for its backend (eqedit) in the PATH, which gives more flexibility if you can't or don't want to install everything in /usr/bin.
