Email Secretary

Email Secretary is a Challenge/Response system designed to deter spam. Written entirely in Perl, it is highly configurable and easy to modify. It has a Web GUI to manage your whitelists, blacklists, and pending messages.

Changes: This release finishes "sort by date" in the SGI, adds a vacation option in the CGI, changes the "sendmail" call to "forward", and remembers the sorting field in the CGI. The whitelist button also approves applicable pending messages.

Changes: A forwarding hack was added for Exchange servers. A problem that left stale tmp files was fixed. All messages are queued, even if a confirmation probe is not sent. The initial movement of unconfirmed messages when mode = 2 was fixed.

Changes: Mail::VRFY is now used if available. Spam and VRFY statuses were added to the Web GUI.

Changes: This release conforms to RFC3834 in that it will never reply to msgs containing owner-*, request-*, or MAILER-DAEMON, and prepends "Auto:" to the subject of probe messages.
