fbpanel is a lightweight GTK-2 based desktop panel. It works with any NETWM compliant window manager (i.e. sawfish, Openbox, metacity, xfwm4, and kvm). It features a tasklist, launchbar, clock, pager, icon tray, menu, and desktop switcher.

Recent releases


Changes: An autohide feature and a digital clock plugin were added. Many bugs were fixed.


Changes: This release includes support for an application menu (generated from *.desktop files), GTK themed icons, and an urgency hint. The pager was enhanced to show desktop wallpaper. All problems with vertical layout were fixed. fbpanel was ported to 64-bit platforms. Additionally, compilation issues with latest gcc and gtk+ were fixed. Some other bugs were also fixed.
