feresPost is a library that allows the rapid development of small programs for the post-processing of Nastran or Samcef finite element results. The library allows easy manipulation of finite element models, groups, and results. Efficient post-processing is possible because the time-consuming operations are written in C/C++. The library is distributed as a COM component as well as a Ruby compiled extension.

Changes: Bugs in Group filters for reading Nastran XDB Result files were corrected. Several problems with argument conversion in the COM component have been fixed. A post-processing project with Excel is presented in the COM examples.

Changes: Big memory leak problems in the COM component have been fixed. Also, some errors in String conversions in the COM component have been solved. A memory buffer was added to accelerate Nastran XDB result file access.

Changes: Programming of random access to Nastran XDB Result files was added. A few minor bugs have been fixed. The Excel examples with the FeResPost COM component have been improved.

Changes: Bugs were corrected in the reading of Nastran OP2 file results and of groups from Patran session files. When accessing Nastran XDB files, a swap of endianness can now be forced.

Recent commentsThe e-mail address "ferespost@skynet.be" given in the project homepage seems not valid or (temporarily?) out of service. My e-mails sent there are rejected. How can the project be contacted other than freshmeat comments?
What is the license for ferespost really? Can the licensce text be accessed somewhere? The freshmeet project entry of ferespost only says "freeware" and the project homepage says nothing at all about the license. Is it free as in speech?
Can the sourcecode be accessed and how?
