About:
ipv4-df-reset is a replacement for the
net/ipv4/ip_forward.c file in the Linux 2.6.21
(and other) kernels. It fixes MTU problems when
forwarding packets over networks with a smaller
MTU (such as IPIP and GRE tunnels, OpenVPN in UDP
mode, etc.). This zeros the DF flag on all packets
forwarded over the router, fixing problems with
most broken operating systems that either always
set the DF bit to 1 or don't have a working path
MTU discovery or both.
