Freddy
Freddy is a programmer's editor, written in Qt. It has a nice look, and is easy to use. It is extendable with its module support, and you can configure almost everything you want.

Changes: The most important news is the 'colorer' library support, which makes Freddy capable of syntax highlighting more than 100 text formats. The first version of the manual is ready and accessible in PDF and HTML formats. The editor now supports the UTF-8 format. The search function now includes a replace function. Currently unavailable menu items get disabled, and the list of the available graphical styles is dynamically-listed in the menu. The Preferences window now has a "Quick Help" function. Many bugfixes were also made.

The editor can now load and save UTF-8 texts. The search function now includes a replace function. Currently unavailable menu items are now disabled in the GUI, and the list of the available graphical styles are dynamically listed in the menu. The Preferences window now has a "Quick Help" function. This release also contains many bugfixes.

Changes: Freddy now has a "Preferences" window which makes it possible to reconfigure it at runtime. Support for X11's "selection clipboard" was added. Freddy now marks the modified buffers' name with an "*". Any nonexistent files specified on the command line can are now created. The module interface was rewritten. It is now possible to use modules under Windows. Some modules now have some interesting new features, such as the "status ball" of the console module. Many improvements were also made, and many serious bugs were fixed.

Changes: Command line switches were added. Loading files into a running instance of the program is now possible. Horizontal scrollbars were added to help you view long lines. The tab bar's tabs have little pixmaps which are draggable, allowing you to easily change their order. A configuration window and i18n support were added. Many improvements and bugfixes were also made.

Changes: A new console module was added, making it much easier to develop programs. This release also features bugfixes and a more complete Debian package.

*eventually* this might be a nice editor ( although i'm no big fan of Qt's weight ), for now and the time being, i stick with my beloved ViM...
